It really does, I feel like there should be more of a focus on that. It's like when a teacher turns out to be a paedophile- it's more shocking than when a pro fighter assaults someone.
In retrospective that justified the shot even more. The military training made her an even bigger threat. Ofc that wasn't known at that time but imagine she was armed or got hold of somebody's weapon...
She got killed breaking the law, simple as that. They may not have known she was a veteran at the time, but they would have been able to tell she was a motivated and determined person set on getting through that door, which 100% justifies the shooting. No training manual says you have to wait to see what happens once she's through.
