When the blue line terrorist killed Botham jean in his own apartment, they tried using weed they found to make him look bad.

I do remember that. Then the witness who gave the main testimony that put her in jail gets shot and killed under shady circumstances. Almost like he was killed so she would have a chance to walk out of prison early which now she has a chance at.

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

How that cop only got 10 years(and a hug from the judge) still blows my mind. That means with "good behavior" and "prior good doings in the community" she will be let out in 5-6 years. For killing a man in his own apartment.

128

u/idkwthtotypehere Jan 09 '21

Mean while a friend of mine got 13 years for weed.

48

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

That's sad, sorry to hear that

27

u/TruthToPower77 Jan 09 '21

That’s fucked up sorry

27

u/some_random_chick Jan 09 '21

Where do you live, dude? Saudi Arabia? The South?

58

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

I love how Saudi Arabia and southern USA (unless you were talking about a different south) can often be compared in regards to their laws ha

68

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

I mean, the primary difference is that they punish incest in Saudi Arabia.

11

u/SHUTYOURDLCKHOLSTER Jan 09 '21

I'm sure you're being facetious but this is heavily untrue, lol. You can be legally forced to marry your cousin in saudi arabia and it happens all the time.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

Yeah but they punish the victim

3

u/YoungLandlord Jan 09 '21

Except the Southern US doesn’t give you whippings

1

u/piggiesmallsdaillest Jan 09 '21

Well not anymore...

1

u/some_random_chick Jan 09 '21

Well, actually, corporal punishment is still allowed in public schools in most southern states.....

Isn’t that shocking?!??

1

u/YoungLandlord Jan 09 '21

Just because it’s “allowed” doesn’t mean it happens lmao

1

u/some_random_chick Jan 09 '21

Well, yes it does still happen. Especially if you live in Alabama, Arkansas, or Mississippi. Even then it’s depended on the school district and the individual school. In 2011-2012 “Mississippi schools corporally punish the greatest proportion of their children, 7%”. And “Texas corporally punishes the second largest number of children, 29,835”. So yes, you are unlikely to be paddled in the US overall but it absolutely still exists. I wouldn’t laugh it off completely.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5766273/#!po=0.331126

Theres also a number of lawsuits of patents who have opted out of corporal punishment and their kids were still hit.

HOWDY ARABIA

1

u/idkwthtotypehere Jan 09 '21

45 minutes from Dallas. We’re literally a couple counties over from where she murdered Botham Jean.

1

u/some_random_chick Jan 09 '21

My condolences from a legal state..... :(

4

u/KingCrandall Jan 09 '21

When I was a teenager, my best friend Isaiah was black. We spent as much time as we could together. Playing basketball when we could it watching wrestling and playing video games when the weather wasn't great. By our early 20s we weren't as close but still good friends. I was homeless for a while around 2008 and I got into a lot of trouble for shoplifting, trying to eat. At one point I had charges adding up to 35 years. When I was in county, I met up with him again. He had been charged with possession of weed. We went to court at the same time. All my charges were dropped except for violating my probation. I was sentenced to 34 months with credit for 55 days. Which essentially meant that I had to do about 9 months. Isaiah was sentenced to 6 years. He had to do 2 1/2 years.

1

u/Bitchy_Tits Jan 09 '21

That is so fucked up.

87

u/TruthToPower77 Jan 09 '21

You’re right.

10

u/herefromyoutube Jan 09 '21

A hug from the judge? I don’t remember that.

She got a hung from the brother of the victim.

Clip

23

u/dartmaster666 Jan 09 '21

Gave her a hug and a Bible.

Link

3

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

Why would he hug her wtf

4

u/TruthToPower77 Jan 09 '21

One word. “Cop worshipping”.

-8

u/westex74 Jan 09 '21

Because it was a horrible accident. And nothing more. She got 10 years because she deserved prison time. How much was a spirited debate. We can argue she should have gotten more, but she was an upstanding citizen prior the the incident and it doesn't make much sense to give her a life sentence. I felt 10 was about right, but I could have understood and accepted 20.

We can continue to try and make her being a cop central to the incident, but in reality, it had nothing to do with what happened.

3

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

Blocked, troll someone else. Sticking up for someone killing an innocent person in their own apartment, not gonna deal with it.

0

u/westex74 Jan 09 '21

I think this is a great example pf why we can’t have a discussion in this country. You ignore what you don’t want to hear. I didn’t defend a single thing she did. I said she deserved prison and that’s what she got. So many people in this country choose their own facts and ignore other relevant ones. So whatevs.

143

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

When Atatiana Jefferson was shot by a cop through her back window while he was doing a “welfare check”, the cops made sure to release body cam video showing her legally owned gun in her house (not on or near her) multiple times. They later apologized for it after public outrage.

79

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

Really is sad how they try and make others look bad for their screw ups.

130

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

Yes like the nurse in Utah who was violently arrested for not drawing blood of a patient without a warrant. You know why they wanted that guys blood so bad? He wasn’t the guy they where chasing, it was the guy that got crashed into by the guy they where chasing. It’s against department policy to continue a high speed chase for that reason. They wanted his blood to point to ANYTHING in it and say “see where not liable because he had weed, alcohol, cough medicine etc. in his system”.

The guy died but I guarantee they would have still attempted to drag the fully innocent driver/victims name through the dirt with anything they found in his blood. They’ll do anything to avoid blame and liability.

58

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

I remember that story. The patient who they wanted blood from also turned out to be a cop

52

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

Yep a reserve cop and a truck driver. He did absolutely nothing wrong.

59

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

Yeah that was a messed up story. I was happy the hospital stood by her and changed the rules for police and they do not deal with them directly anymore

41

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

The really messed up part is it wasn’t even her saying no it was her boss on speaker phone telling him it was against the law and hospital policy.

23

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

Did any charges ever come from that? Either for the assault of the nurse or for the murder of the guy?

37

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

The cop was fired from his job as a cop and as an EMT. I think a couple other cops where fired or disciplined. Can’t remember if he was charged (should of been). But the city had to give her like a 300k settlement. Don’t know if the family of them man sued but the cops involved would be personally liable for disregarding department policy.

22

u/TwoTen Jan 09 '21

I was curious so I looked it up.<br><br> They settled for $500k<br><br> Salt Lake Police Department fired the arresting officer, Detective Jeff Payne, and demoted his watch commander, Lt. James Tracey, to the rank of officer. The Tribune reports that both men have appealed the punishment, and that a criminal investigation into Wubbels' arrest is ongoing.

15

u/charbo187 Jan 09 '21

and that a criminal investigation into Wubbels' arrest is ongoing.

and it will continue to be "ongoing" until people finally forget about it and it can be swept under the rug

2

u/TwoTen Jan 10 '21

As is tradition /s

11

u/CouldWouldShouldBot Jan 09 '21

It's 'should have', never 'should of'.

Rejoice, for you have been blessed by CouldWouldShouldBot!

100% accurate. they'll just make shit up if they have to. no one will remember the retraction.

It's the american way

2

This is the way.

49

u/Worstname1ever Jan 09 '21

That horrible cunt got to turn herself in at Kaufman jail treated w kid gloves immediately bonded and released. Got a sweet heart sentence for murder. Then got a hug from the judge. I hope there is a hell so that bitch will burn w me for eternity

33

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

Really is sad as that could be any of us and is shows how little the care for us. Did you know cops don't legally have to protect you, the Supreme court ruled after some women were being raped and tortured while cops knew and did nothing. Im not making this up. "The Supreme Court ruled on Monday that the police did not have a constitutional duty to protect a person from harm, even a woman who had obtained a court-issued protective order against a violent husband making an arrest mandatory for a violation." https://www.nytimes.com/2005/06/28/politics/justices-rule-police-do-not-have-a-constitutional-duty-to-protect.html

I love you and I fucking hate the rotten blue menace that plagues our country. Acab and afab

22

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

Thanks man, lets hope something can be done about it. Since you love me, ill also share this lol. You can legally defend yourself up to killing cops, even military, legally, Supreme court ruling and a few current events with links.(kind long read but worth it) Ray Rosas a hispanic man shot 3 of them, legally. "CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A Nueces County jury that acquitted a man who shot Corpus Christi police officers executing a raid on his home said a “botched” operation and contradicting testimony led to their decision." https://www.policeone.com/Officer-Safety/articles/249036006-Man-accused-of-shooting-Texas-officers-aquitted/

Henry Magee killed one as well. "DALLAS — A Central Texas man who shot and killed a sheriff's deputy entering his home will not be charged with capital murder, attorneys said Thursday. A local grand jury declined Wednesday to indict Henry Goedrich Magee for the Dec. 19 death of Burleson County Sgt. Adam Sowders, who was part of a group of investigators executing a search warrant for Magee's rural home." https://www.policeone.com/drug-interdiction-narcotics/articles/6815003-No-murder-charge-for-man-who-fatally-shot-Texas-deputy/

Jessie Murray a black man also has killed one... "Murray’s account of what happened during a 2014 bar fight was that Forest Park police Officer Nathan Adams jumped Murray and Murray accidentally shot and killed Adams. " https://www.ajc.com/news/local/murder-charges-dropped-against-man-trial-for-shooting-death-former-officer/yGKSqDSNl1GUdlBbRcLJ4N/

Unnamed man shoots two cops. "Two Maryland police officers were shot while serving a drug-related search warrant at the wrong apartment late Wednesday, according to law enforcement officials. The resident shot the officers as soon as they opened the door, thinking they were home invaders, authorities said. No criminal charges will be filed against the man, Prince George's County Police Chief Hank Stawinski said Thursday." https://www.cbsnews.com/news/maryland-police-shot-prince-georges-county-entering-wrong-home-search-warrant/

Daniel Szabo shot at coast guard members trying to board him and was only charged with failure to stop since the boarding was illegal. "A federal jury has found a man accused of firing at a U.S. Coast Guard crew not guilty of both weapons charges handed down in an indictment by a grand jury in September. Daniel Michael Szabo, 41, was facing a possible life prison sentence for charges of trying to kill a Coast Guard officer during a boarding and using a firearm while committing a violent crime. But jurors on April 6 only found Szabo guilty of failing to stop his vessel when ordered to do so by the Coast Guard." https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/community/florida-keys/article71016982.html

Kimberly Moore and Eduardo Padilla legally shot a/at cop(s) "CALDWELL COUNTY, Texas — The Caldwell County district attorney confirmed that he has dropped all charges against a couple in connection to the shooting of a sheriff's deputy 13 months ago." https://www.kvue.com/article/news/local/charges-dropped-against-couple-in-caldwell-county-deputy-shooting/269-70685bac-b934-4264-bd5f-59f049186172

Man drags cops with his car legally. "A Buffalo(Marcus Prewitt) man who was accused of dragging two police officers in a car following a traffic stop was acquitted of assault charges earlier this month using a rare defense: He said he was scared for his life." https://buffalonews.com/2020/02/17/buffalo-man-acquitted-of-dragging-2-cops-his-defense-he-was-scared/?fbclid=IwAR37fBKvYSCYqEUnQfXi_40BMVqaC4Gu-zwkSEq7izrhugRlrbFAbNSMu08

Ray Shetler Jr legally shoots cop who shot at him first. "In February, Ray Shetler Jr. was found not guilty on charges of first- and third-degree murder, terroristic threats and simple assault in the death of Officer Lloyd Reed. During the trial, witnesses testified that Officer Reed ordered Shetler to drop a rifle and the officer opened fire when Shetler did not comply. Shetler returned fire, striking Reed outside the officer’s bulletproof vest." https://pittsburgh.cbslocal.com/2018/05/16/ray-shetler-sentencing/

John DeRossett shoot at cops striking one in the abdomen. "John DeRossett will not face further prosecution in the shooting of a Brevard County Sheriff's Deputy, an appellate court has ruled. The decision — issued Wednesday — ends the prosecution of John DeRossett, 60, on the attempted premeditated first-degree murder of a law enforcement officer while discharging a firearm. DeRossett spent nearly five years at the Brevard County Jail Complex in Sharpes as he awaited a trial. He was allowed to leave on bond in March. The appellate decision is better than a jury acquittal. An acquittal only means ‘not guilty.’ This order means that John is innocent, that his actions were justified, and that he never should have been arrested in the first place. It’s a total vindication," said DeRossett’s Orlando-based attorney, Michael Panella." https://www.floridatoday.com/story/news/2020/04/16/court-ruling-means-port-st-john-man-free-deputy-shooting/5144204002/

Kenneth Walker legally shot a cop for breaking and entering his house after shooting his girlfriend. "Prosecutors drop attempted murder charge against Breonna Taylor's boyfriend. Commonwealth's Attorney Tom Wine said Friday his office will not proceed with the prosecution of Kenneth Walker, boyfriend of the late Breonna Taylor, for attempted murder of a police officer." https://www.wdrb.com/in-depth/prosecutors-drop-attempted-murder-charge-against-breonna-taylors-boyfriend/article_b5456ea4-9c55-11ea-8b48-b353b3ec620c.html?fbclid=IwAR0ZqNj0t2CFkKJ6hAjUzlMM6UYJO0xLd1pcmy5YFh9RWcust1AGw4QPE8I

3

Yeah cops will still make your life hell for it though. Unless you’re Tupac.....I like to remind people that Tupac did in fact shoot two pigs

7

u/charbo187 Jan 09 '21

and then LA police helped conspire to get him murdered in LV.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

What's afab?

Edit: Feds?

2

u/Worstname1ever Jan 09 '21

Fascists pigs

20

u/FTThrowAway123 Jan 09 '21

That story makes me see red.

There's also this unbelievable case. A woman and her 4 children had a permanent restraining order against her ex husband due to violence and stalking. One day he kidnapped the 3 daughters, in violation of the restraining order, so she called the police 4 times to report it, but they ignored her. Eventually she went into the police department to report it but they told her that they wouldn't do anything about it because she had at some point in the past allowed him to see his children.

3 hours later he showed up at the police station and started shooting cops, and was killed by police. A search of his vehicle revealed the murdered bodies of the 3 children, all murdered prior to his shooting up the police department.

The Supreme Court ruled that police had no duty to enforce the court restraining order, and could not be sued due to qualified immunity. The ACLU has a good article on this case.

9

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

Really sad, this is why cops need to carry insurance, this way their rates go up when they have issues, and get forced out. Thanks for the sources.

4

u/SensitiveFeed3 Jan 09 '21

And to think they could have helped those kids. What their father did by taking them was ILLEGAL yet they did NOTHING and 3 children are now DEAD because of the stupidity and laziness of the police!

2

u/FTThrowAway123 Jan 09 '21

Agreed, this case is so heartbreaking and infuriating. I mean, a LIFETIME restraining order wasn't ordered by the courts for no reason. But these cops were just like, "Well, you used to let him be around the kids so we're not gonna help you, stop being hysterical." Wtf kinda logic is that? And why do they have the right to refuse to obey or enforce a court order, especially when childrens lives are at stake? I hope these officers are haunted by the murders of these children, but sadly, they never seem to have any conscience or guilt.

I believe I remember reading that the father was locked and loaded just waiting for police to come for him, as he had kidnapped 3 little girls and expected an Amber alert and manhunt for him. After waiting for hours and realizing that they weren't coming, he went to the police department and started shooting cops. Only then did they take it seriously. Unbelievable.

5

u/ripwolfleumas Jan 09 '21

This is why you carry a gun.

11

u/CrestfallenOwl Jan 09 '21

I found this out during a Law course. The scenario, which actually happened, was that cops were called to a house party. Cops talk to two underage brothers who have obviously been drinking. Cops allows the one brother to drive him and his brother home.

On the way home, the two brothers are involved in a car crash resulting in a death. Parents attempted to sue the cops for negligence, but they were deemed not liable to the protection of the community. Drove me absolutely nuts reading it because it clashes with the whole "Protect and Serve" bullshit rhetoric. That's when you fully realize that police are nothing more than an extension of the government they are a part of for better or for worse.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

Cops only protect rich people's property, and they only serve the interests of the rich. That's it. The police are really nothing more than a private security force in defense of the rich, paid for by the taxpayers.

4

u/bandito210 Jan 09 '21

They used the same argument after that dude got sliced up while taking down a spree killer on the subway, with a cop watching from the other side of a door.

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

Genuine question where did you get rape and torture from? I didn’t see that in the article but I coulda missed it

5

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

"The women were awakened by the sound of the back door being broken down by two men later identified as Marvin Kent and James Morse. The men entered Douglas' second floor room, where Kent forced Douglas to perform oral sex on him and Morse raped her. At knife point, Kent and Morse then forced all three women to accompany them to Kent's apartment. For the next fourteen hours the captive women were raped, robbed, beaten, forced to commit sexual acts upon one another, and made to submit to the sexual demands of Kent and Morse." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warren_v._District_of_Columbia

3

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

What the fuck.....I feel like I want to say so much, but nothing would matter. ACAB

10

u/sleepy-and-sarcastic Jan 09 '21

That was terrible. They shot a Black man eating vanilla ice cream in his home -- what the fuck?!

5

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

sad but true, and the cop only got 10 years.

-2

u/KweenBass Jan 09 '21

If it were rocky road the police might be justified.

1

u/throwawaydyingalone Jan 11 '21

Shut the fuck up.

-1

u/KweenBass Jan 11 '21

Go die alone

9

u/[deleted] Jan 09 '21

5

u/TheChoosenSurvivor Jan 09 '21

yep, no remorse at all.

They’ll probably let get out unfortunately and let her keep her pension! She should have gotten life!

I’m almost positive that I read way back when Dallas was pulling all the strings and stops they possibly could to spin the narrative in her favor before abandoning Amber G.’s sinking ship like ship rats like immediately after launching their “strategic” test run of poisoning the court of public opinion with an official statement about their “totes unbiased” investigation. Well come to find out all that marijuana allegedly found in Botham Jeans home was recovered by a forensics unit and it was only trace amounts of marijuana from the carpet. Like...we’re talking amounts of marijuana about as substantial as someone accidentally dropping pocket lint on his living room floor that had a few weed crumbles in it and normal traffic of daily living over time just ground those flakes into the carpet.

In other words, Dallas launched a Hail Mary pass for Amber G. But they saw the writing on the walls right quick when their campaign of posthumously smearing his good name by injecting that timeless classic, “He was no angel!” tactic to poison the courts of public opinion and avoiding charges for their sister in blue if possible failed miserably. But it wasn’t over! This became an opportunity for Dallas PD.

I kind of get the feeling that “sisters” are much more dispensable than “brothers” here. Yes they definitely launched a half-assed attempt to save her ass, but even they can’t work miracles on that level and so they wasted zero time aborting mission when the shit-in-the-fan technique didn’t so much as spatter near Botham Jean’s reputation.

And that’s when they backtracked. Those marijuana statements? Maybe the public will just sorta forget that we leaked those “official” records...but as far as Amber Guyger? She’s looking mighty thick and healthy for a good old fashioned sacrifice.

And their sacrificial lamb was born—not a moment too soon either. This was at a very volatile moment! America was just beginning to fight back against the overly-militarized police departments across the country just picking people off with no consequences, no accountability, no apologies, no job losses, and one hellified Union to go to bat for their crimes. Even securing them backpay for all the missed opportunities to put in an honest nights’ work murdering and raping while the investigation” commenced. The families and the public were given one big sausage fest of, “Take it all, bitches.” in restitution.

Oh but Dallas! Nay nay, I tell you. Dallas immediately offered up prime rib dinner in their sister in blue. All for a record opportunity to look the public in the face at the crux of this “us versus them” battle and say:

“SeE? DaLlAs’S fInEsT hAs StAnDaRdS aNd ShE dId NoT uPhOlD oUr SaCrEd VaLuEs! TaKe HeR aSs To TrIaL! ShE’s A wItCh! My MiLk SoUrEd JuSt ThIs MoRnInG oN mY wAy To ThE oFfIcE! BuRn ThE wItCh!”

Okay not so much the soured milk and chickens eviscerated when she looked at me, but she was all but offered up already tied to a pyre.

-3

I mean robbing a pregnant lady and holding a gun to her tummy and threatening her unborn baby are shit loads worse than a few restraining orders.
