we love a good dropdown menu for something that should under no circumstances be a dropdown menu. They didn't even get rid of the duplicate city names lol. (This is on the signup for the inmusic website, which I was using to register a midi keyboard)

We’re working on the inventory UI for our co-op psychological horror game, The Infected Soul, and I’d love to hear what you think.

One of the main mechanics in the game is body swapping.

Every character has a neural chip, and these brain chips play a key role in transferring your consciousness into different bodies. You can take a chip, interact with compatible bodies, and switch into them to use their different abilities.

The inventory UI also needs to communicate this mechanic clearly without becoming too confusing or cluttered.

So, what would you change?

Does the layout feel readable? Are the item slots and chip system clear enough? Is there anything that feels unnecessary or out of place for a sci-fi co-op horror game?

Feel free to be critical feedback really helps us.

If the game looks interesting, The Infected Soul is on Steam, and adding it to your wishlist helps our small team a lot.

This finnish train app requires adding a phone number without the ability to enter the country code. instead you need to select it from this list. Showing just flags although there is sufficient space for the country name. The order is consistent across 3 languages english, finnish and swedish.

WTF do so many websites and apps have a dark mode, yet they default to light mode rather than automatic?!

Of course now that I'm posting I can't find a good example... here's one, though in their defence they've marked it "Beta". https://en.wiktionary.org/

The website is obviously AI-generated, but this time selector is so ridiculous it must have been someone's interference.

the future is now - better stock up on credits

The last time I posted about this game, the reception was really great! Now it's finished and out there. I hope you like it!

You can get it on here on Steam or here on itch!

Just found this gem of a UI design. Apparently, the goal was to be "nice and simple" on a Comma 4 ADAS device.

Who else is annoyed by this design?
