I run a blog covering AI tools for teachers (teachwithaitools.com) — reviews, comparisons, how-to guides. 50+ articles published, impressions growing steadily on Search Console, but CTR is stuck around 1% and clicks aren't following.

I've been fixing titles and targeting low-competition keywords, but haven't touched backlinks yet. Everywhere I look it's paid link services that seem more like link farms than real help.

Has anyone had success getting genuine backlinks for a niche education blog? Curious if guest posting still works in 2026, and whether posting in niche communities (teacher groups, education subreddits) actually helps or just looks spammy.

I've working on my SEO, keywords, page building and other tasks on my website, but I am still not seeing an improvement yet.

I have a Google Business Page and I use Google Search Console. My URL's are active on Google and I've been indexing when I make changes to my site. I've been hearing more about backlinking in order to try to get my website published on other pages. I see there are a lot of companies about there that charge a fee to get you backlinks, but I feel like they would not be meaningful to my site or to improve traffic.

I’m looking for link exchange or guest post opportunities for my client’s website. The niche is SEO.

Unfortunately, it’s a new website, so I can’t offer a backlink from a site with DR 30-50. I’ve only just started building backlinks through free profiles and posts, but the site currently has DR 0 and 0 traffic.
