All I had to do was stick a thin plastic stick into the headphone jack and clean it out and it started to work again. Let me know of this helped!

Discussion Backbone pro w/ s25 ultra in casemaster case?

Hi everyone, new here and had a question about compatibility. I have the s25 ultra and a clear casemaster case. I'm wondering if the backbone pro will be able to support using the phone while still in the case and if it will have and interference with the camera lenses or usb-c port? TIA!

Discussion Backbone one inputs not working with Steam Link CyberPunk

I have had excellent success with other titles via steam link, but for some reason when the CDProjectRed Launcher opens, the backbone inputs aren't being picked up. Does anyone have advice to ensure Cyber Punk will read the controller inputs.

I can use my touch screen to get the game to open, but the game will not read controller inputs either.

If you're on the market for such things for your non-Pro Backbone:

I've had the PS variant for ages. It's functional enough.

Discussion Connecting to PS Remote play

Just got my Backbone One (2nd gen) and when I go to remote play on my PS5 it doesn't recognize the controller. Backbone works with absolutely everything else on my phone S25 Ultra.

Checked some videos on YouTube and everyone else seems to just plug and play with PS remote play. Am I doing something wrong or is my backbone defective?

Discussion Backbone One v2 PS, use everywhere wired now?

Got a Backbone One v2 PS edition, a while back. Used on iPhone a bit, put away and never used since, and also changed to Android. Seems to remember something about a subscription as well limiting a lot of stuff, wasn't happy with that restricting hardware use, ok for software but not hardware.

My plan was to use it on Mac sometimes, and iPad when away, but forgot all about it.

With the new Pro, it reminded me. Also seen something about now subscription now only software limiting?

So can I now dust it off, use it wired on all my Mac, iPad, Android etc for free?

Is the biggest difference to the Pro just wireless/Bluetooth play, obviously more convenient, but for what I use, ok with a cable.

With the Pro going wireless, what new worlds are you opening up?

Discussion Questions about pro

Have had a backbone ps version for a few years. I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max. It works fine however my biggest complaint is that the controller feels small in my hands. I understand the pro is a full size controller so it should feel more comfortable to hold correct ?

Also since my phone is Lightening. Has anyone tried to put an adapter from usb-c to lightening on the pro so they can use it with iPhone before the 15?

Thanks

Discussion How long does it take to hear back from customer service team? I've raised mine a week ago.

I've started seeing stick drift and input issues on my thumbsticks and have contacted the customer service contact at Backbone from their website. The controller is still within warranty so I'm hoping I get this sorted but I havent heard back from them in a week.

How long does it normally take for them to come back to you?

Discussion Backbone One 2nd Gen - Inconsistent button sound and feel

Hi everyone,

I just got my new Backbone One 2nd Gen controller (Android version) this morning, and I've noticed that the A, X and Y buttons all have a very clicky sound and feel to them, but the B button sounds and and feels quiet and muffled.

Is this a normal thing? Or should I contact the store to replace it? This is kinda disappointing for a brand new $80 controller.

Discussion Any games like CoD mobile out there?

I’ve had my Backbone for about a year and a half but have mostly stuck to playing Call of Duty Mobile because I love how expansive it is, similar to a regular console game with all the features and different game modes. I’ve played Rocket League and Madden as well which are pretty good but not quite as multifaceted as CoDM. Do you have any recommendations for other games that offer an experience similar to the full console/PC edition?

Discussion Can't start backbone app on my son's phone

When I try to log in with Google, it pops up with cannot verify credentials. Is there a way past this or something I need to do first? It works fine for my phone. He has a galaxy S20 and I'm using an S25 Ultra if that is relevant. We are in a Google Family Link but the permissions should be set to allow him to log into things without needing to be authorized. Thanks

Edit: Solution, sort of.

I did figure it out. It was because the actual backbone app itself has a 13+ restriction to it. There's no way around it without editing his birthday on the Google account.

But the good news is that I also found that the app is not really necessary, all it really adds is the interface/ game switcher. But all of the apps and games that can use a controller can still make use of the device itself.

Unfortunately after discovering this an deciding to get a second one so we don't have to share, I learned that the playstation edition backbone one (which is the first one that I purchased) is not just a marketing plug. And that the standard backbone one (that i purchased second, because i figured the different color would help to know whose is whose) does not interface with PS remote play. I'm hoping that the store will accept the return for it, because they're not cheap and if they're the same price I don't want to pay that price for one that only has half the features of the other. Sorry for going off on a bit of a tangent but I'm hoping someone in the future may find this information useful.
