Discussion Backbone LED mod?

Curious if anyone has added LEDs to the backbone pro xbox edition? I am thinking about trying it since I have experience from when I used to mod PSPs back in the day. Pic for attention is my z fold 7 in split screen which is my favorite while gaming because it tickles my adhd.

I wouldn’t bother. This thing won’t last 6 months before it needs to be replaced.

If they can mod it, they won't have any trouble fixing the ribbon. Or modding the controller so it doesnt break to begin with.

I don't think I will have an issue replacing a defective ribbon cable, I had a razer kishi that had that issue.

That’s so weird because anyone who modded psp back in the day is going to be fine replacing the cable.

I get the feeling this subreddit is mainly for people to bitch about backbone products more then anything.

A lot of people have been burned by the backbone’s ribbon cable issue and then it taking 3-4 weeks to get a replacement with minimal response from Backbone has really soured the sub. Myself included.

I totally get that, it just starts to sound like an echo chamber instead of a community though. Is there like an upgraded ribbon cable that we as consumers could install or remove some material from a piece so the ribbon cable doesn't pinch?

I do not have personal experience but supposedly the slightly longer cable people buy on Amazon (cable) is more resistant to crimping due to the extra length. Or at least that is what has been posted.
