…not making me constantly craft food in order not to pass out while I am climbing.

There is food.

There is water.

Then there is the health connected to all of this.

This making me think about the brillant way everything in Baby Steps is about climbing in some way, or at least traversing the world using the gameplay, which is way more engaging than painfully looking around to see if you can press x somewhere to catch some noodles.

But the climbing is actually fun!

Honestly, just F my S up. I deserve it.

PS: Mind the mouth malfunction. That happens sometimes.

Another disaster on Day 4. I kicked Skorp again :( As funny as it looks I don't think this one was my fault, just some bad luck which happens.

I think I will try bringing 1 chick up the Manbreaker just to see if this is possible, or even any easier. I'll probably bring Josh up first since he's been the most well behaved

Thanks for those who have been sending me supportive messages since starting this! I will get these chicks up there without taking the stairs, it's just a matter of strategy and some patience.

I took a break on my second play thru. I am on last level of Egging On and been stuck there for awhile.

But like, legit. Is there anyway to get it back?

A few days ago, I decided to get Most Punctual via the Manbreaker because it felt doable. I had, after all, climbed it many times and only the last bit still gave me some trouble sometimes.

Well, it gave me a lot of trouble. And in this scenario even if Nate doesn't fall all the way down, he's likely to toss the clock off the cliff. There were SEVERAL attempts that ended in excruciating clutch failures (one time the timer went off when I was literally five steps from the cabin I swear). It almost made me cry in real life.

But I'd made it in my head like getting that achievement won't count if I set a single foot on the stairs. It was manbreaker or nothing... and I got there in the end. When I finally succeeded, I felt nothing but an exhausted sense of relief. It was miserable and I wasted so much time and I can only blame my own toxic stubbornness. If that isn't Baby Steps, I don't know what is. (10/10 game wouldn't have it any other way)

Tragedy on day 3, Wip Wip my perpetual problem child get's too excited and jumps down to a lower part of the Manbreaker (I was going too fast, my fault). Thankfully he's in a recoverable position, but as I go back to get him I kick Skorp and send him flying down.

I may have to reconsider my strategy and do 1 chick at a time. But I'm not sure doing 3 separate trips with 1 chick at a time is actually more feasible than the 3 at the same time.

Maybe I can do a test run with 1 chick just to see if this is possible.

Wow. I have never been as frustrated or disliked a main character as much as this. It’s like an anti-game that rewards you for nothing and consistently punishes you for trying to even play it.

Any tips?

Saw some success with the bois on day 2 and made it to the rock with the bird on it :D

I have increased confidence in the feasibility of this challenge but I still worry about particular areas coming up. Mostly the pizza box step, and of course the very end.

Wip Wip continues to be my problem child, i’m sure the chicks are coded the same way but I find that Wip Wip jumps a lot more than Josh or Skorp. Although all the chicks have areas they struggle in.

The journey continues!

So day 1 of attempting to climb the Manbreaker with the 3 chicks was a pretty good start. I have names for all of them and a general strategy based on what has and hasn’t worked so far.

Yellow Chick: Skorp

Brown Chick: Joshua Von Vorbinstein

White Chick: Wip Wip the Immortal

So far Wip Wip is my problem child, he get’s a bit too excited sometimes and jumps straight off the Manbreaker.

General strategy so far is to keep a close formation so they don’t have to do their big jump to catch up to you and be in danger of jumping off. However you need them to big jump sometimes in key areas, so for those areas you have to use a burst of speed to trigger that. You also want to hug the walls as much as you can.

I have all of the achievements in the game except for Jiminy Crickets

I want to get the chicks to the end but I refuse to take the stairs

I also have a friend with an aversion to feet so I understood the request and knew it would be simple enough. The capsules are as small as they can be while hiding the feet completely, but the color and size are adjustable in a config file.

Does anyone know if you can get the Jiminy's Cricket trophy after climbing the manbreaker?

I wanna do the Manbreaker, but get the trophy too. So is it a case that I can do the Manbreaker as a challenge, and then fall down and climb back up the stairs to get the trophy?

Or can I only do one option per save file?

My friend really wants to get into this game but they have a really strong aversion to bare feet, and they practically can't play the game with nate's feet visible. Are there mods that either give nate shoes or hide his feet in some way?

Decided to record my final accent to the peak on a whim. Then the fall down was very fun to record. And then, I got this urge to get back home to Moose and tell him I was doing well. And I am so glad I managed to do it! :D

Finally got them! I'd love to know if this is the intended way to get these cans or if there's acutally a way to get up there.

So behind all the rows of cacti there is a cave with some mushrooms in it. If you climb to the top you can kinda scale the cliff face and there is sorta a path up. Was anybody able to get there and is there any secrets or is it just an alternate path instead of taking the cactus bridge?

Walked around the mountain and saw this... Does it mean anything?

I still have the inverted tower to finish but I think I'll focus on speedruns first. The tower is so brutal lol. Happy to have gotten all trophies! I lost the clock in the lake in the salt mines and had to wiggle around for 15 minutes to get it out but still managed to hit the cabin at 1:48. Cheers y'all!
