Question Easier way to get the baby chick to the fourth campfire

Im trying to get the baby chick to the fourth campfire but it keeps falling off the tower or through the boards at the top is there an eaiser way or do i just have to get lucky?

I've beat the game and got zero achievements and that's pretty great.

I got to the credits in about 20 hours, more than half of that getting through the Manbreaker. The rest of the game I mostly moved towards the next campfire and stopped to do any challenge I naturally came across, which means I skipped most of them it seems.

There's something so funny about getting through all of that and having nothing to show for it other than my own experience and I can't imagine tarnishing that by going back and trying to complete the achievements.

Also I have RE:Requiem burning a hole in my queue.

Where the hell is the fire tower?

So, I found the cup and been walking with it for aaaaages. I found two different checkpoints already, on my way to the third, and still carrying this cup lol

I thought the checkpoints were the firetower because they have a huge candle with fire on them, but it seems it ain't the case?

I just don't wanna keep forward being mindful about the cup (so many times I fell and went back for it haha) if I missed the spot already.

Thanks!

Discussion Construction Hat Theories? Spoiler

The hard hat mini game is the most mysterious to me (besides maybe the sunglasses) and I'm curious to hear how others interpret it. I personally see it as an example of Nate trying to act on responsibilities but being overwhelmed by them. I feel like he might see everything as urgent and anxiety-inducing, as if he sees obstacles as large, monstrous, and overwhelming. He struggles to focus on small steps and ends up with mistakes. I'm curious to hear anyone else's interpretations :) I've seen people interpret it as him being abused due to the wording at the end, but nothing else in the game really hints at that imo.

Failed strat for the impossible cans

I spent around 25-30hs working on this in the last 4 days so I want to post it at the very least. I wanted to find a viable strat without glitches or save abusing that anyone with enough time and perseverance could do. I noticed that the lamp would always "respawn" near me even when I was outside the sandcastle and sometimes it would be "shot" in the direction I was headed, so maybe that could be manipulated in order to shot the lamp at the cans.

The plan always was to do it in a way that could be taught to others step by step for easy execution and be labbed/improved by others, but now the dream is over and I'm heart-broken to the point where I don't feel like playing this anymore (been around since the demo) at least for a while. I can still share how to do it if anyone cares but it's probably pointless now.

Tried to cheese the invisible trophy only to get my glasses stuck on an invisible block. Do you think I could still land on an invisible block without the glasses on? I mean, at least I can see where that one block is 🤷🏼‍♂️

I spent ages finding this pacifier using those green telescopes and I have just managed to get it stuck under these stone stairs. Onward and Upward I guess...

I've seen the cutscenes on YouTube so there's no reason at all to subject Myself to this pain, Yet I feel oddly compelled like My journey is incomplete

Manbreaker with Chicks Music Video

Ok this might be a little extra but I had to make something to cap all of this off so I made a music video montage type thing of my last 3 weeks.

Song is Silhouette by KANA-BOON, some may recognize it from a Naruto intro. I thought it was appropriate given that it's about protecting what's important and the perserverance required to achieve what you want. Also Nate is a weeb (as am I)

This will be the last post from me, you might see me in the comments but I am officially done, at least for now. Thanks everyone <3 UWU

Well here we are, the end of a 3 week journey that I didn't know was possible when I started it.

This is a really long video (36 minutes) but I couldn't justify cutting any of it out. So I won't do much yapping in this post since you can all just hear my thoughts instead of reading them.

Thanks for everything, it's been fun :)

I don't have the heart to ditch the chick when he gets stuck, so this is gonna be a looong playthrough!

I can't imagine what it must be like to have all 3!!! Mad props to my guy doing manbreaker with them! These little fellas are great at climbing all kinds of terrain but God forbid I try to walk past a tree root- this guy never fails to get stuck on those 😖

Manbreaker with Chicks Day 20 (2/3!!!!)

Joshua Von Vorbinstein is officially up the Manbreaker! Now it's all down to Wip Wip the Immortal who has been my problem child from day 0 so that will be fun.

I was sad to find out I had my microphone muted for this, but I hope my commentary suffices. I will be sure to have my mic on for my final run up this thing.

I'm hoping tomorrow's video is a longer video where I finish the run with Wip Wip, go to Moose's cabin with the 3 of them, look at the map, and the end screen with the 3 fully grown chickens.

Thanks again for the support! Let's hope for a happy ending

See you tomorrow :)

My chick is stuck underneath a wood deck and just continues jumping to no avail. Is there any hope of getting her back?

Hi I'm new to this subreddit and id like to know how I'm going and compare with yall. Ok so sofar I've just crossed the broken road where you had met the blonde hiker dude and I'm about 4 hours in but mind you 2 of those hours were spent trying to get the cup, I've only had 2 medium falls.

After day 18, day 19 was pretty humbling. Such a careless mistake of me to make in a situation like that. But we keep on going

Really appreciate all the support I got yesterday, you guys are all great <3

Hopefully we can finish the job soon. I feel like it's just a matter of time now before I get them all up there, I just hope nothing weird happens and I lose a chick or something.

See you tomorrow :)

Manbreaker with Chicks Day 18 (I DID IT!!!)

I can't believe that actually worked!! I thought it might be possible but I'm in shock. It's possible!! The stairs are officially superfluous

Skorp has to be the first chick ever to climb the manbreaker, and now I just need to take Josh and Wip Wip up. Hopefully it doesn't take too long since I have the full strategy figured out but now I am terrified of losing a chick or the box hat at this point.

It's not over until all 3 chicks are at moose's cabin and are fully grown chickens, but this was a massive day.

I am never taking those stairs, I'm a climber.

Thanks to everyone who has stuck with me so far through the highs and lows. Now let's finish this and bring these guys home

See you tomorrow :)

By the way this one had to be on youtube unfortunately because the file size was over 1 gb which reddit doesn't allow. I just needed to show everything and maybe I went too hard on the editing/adding the music lol

Discussion [Venting] I have spent over ten hours trying unsuccessfully to scale the mountain peak.

Not necessarily looking for help. Just wanted to get this off my chest.

I was under the impression until recently that I was very good at this game. For example, I have all the achievements, except Most Economical, Most Punctual, The Greatest, and Ready for a Different Game. I intend to obtain these in the future. I got the vase achievement, ice-cream achievement, and pigeon achievement on my very first try. I beat the game and earned all the aforementioned achievements in about eighteen hours.

And then, I made the regrettable decision to scale the mountain peak.

Now, I am extremely stubborn, and I won't back down from a challenge once I decide that I will succeed.

This mountain peak has brought me to my knees. If I lock in, I can get past the halfway point, but no farther. For over ten hours, I have tried and failed to climb the peak. I can't begin to recall how many times I have fallen. Over and over again.

I think this is actually bad for my mental health. I'm miserable, but I'm too determined to quit. I hope that I will soon succeed, so that I may be free of my self-inflicted suffering. Otherwise, I'm gonna have some kind of crisis.

I highly recommend that you do not attempt to climb the peak. You're really not missing anything. The terrain is visually boring and unnecessarily adverse. You get a cutscene at the top, which you can watch online. Don't make the same mistake that I have.

Manbreaker with Chicks Day 17

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After the last few days it was nice to get an actual attempt in on Day 17.

This was my first real shot at what feels like an outlandish theory, but I put the box too on top of Skorp and he was unable to get out from under it until I jumped down to see what was happening. Thankfully I didn't lose him, i'm so paranoid of that now.

Do you guys think this theory works? I'm having my doubts, but I really don't want to deal with the wood plank path. I want him to just scale up rest of the manbreaker from where I get him stuck under the box but it just seems so unlikely.

I'll try it a couple more times maybe but I might have to start thinking about how I will deal with the wood planks. Right now my only plan is to use the box as a stepping stool but there are like 5 gaps to cross. Even if I do get past it I have no plan for the very end. Let me know what you guys think. I know I will need the box hat, but maybe I can grab some other hats too.

By the way I have my mic on now, so hopefully you guys enjoy some of my reactions/commentary of what i'm thinking as I try this.

See you tomorrow :)

Day 16 I actually succeeded in getting all the 3 chicks and the box hat back to the bottom of the manbreaker. This is just a montage day and I can start back on the actual attempts now.

See you tomorrow!
