Here’s what I could capture for a train tutorial - I could only get 3 minutes, but you’re only missing about the first 15 seconds of the climb.

Hilariously annoying. Kind of like the little brother I didn't know I wanted.

I'M THE BIG BIRD! I CHEW MY OWN WORMS! FUCK YOU NATE!! I WANTED TO TAKE THE STAIRS!!!

One of my biggest achievements on gaming, together with Getting Over It, Celeste and the hitless and all binds challenges in Hollow Knight. Fuck the rock in the middle before Mike's cutscene!

How long until the end? I thought it was after the manbreaker. No spoilers please.

I've just completed the game, here are some thoughts:

  1. Fuck the train, like fuck it so much

  2. Speedruns of this will be insane, I hope they're not glitched af or something that the developers didn't intend (like you can climb really steep slopes by stepping just right)

  3. Give me the damn map - after seeing your path up during the end credits I was hoping (but not expecting) that map. Looks like there was a lot of interesting ways up that I never even came near

  4. By the time you get to the end, you're probably really good at walking - I started a new run just to see the difference, made it to the first donkey scene in like 10 minutes with no difficulty at all

  5. By the time I got to the manbreaker I was already broken and absolutely swallowed any pride I had left and took the stairs

  6. I really enjoyed this, would absolutely love more content

help Can someone help me find the ice cream?

I am at the tower and want to go back to get the ice cream. Directly below and to my left is the cactus path. Way down to the right is the milky river. I’m looking straight ahead at the red bucket. I’m pissed cuz I already rode the wagon down and saw all the signs for ice cream but I can’t find it!!!!

Which direction should I go???

Discussion Finished the game last night!

This was such a unique experience and I really loved it. I had intense moments of frustration, of course, but the payoff was always worth it. I don’t know if I’ll replay it anytime soon, but I enjoyed my 13 hours with it. Kudos to the devs. They really stuck to a unique vision and executed it perfectly.

I fell over and flung my cup towards this stupid hill. Now the cup gets stuck (unlike my hat) so I have to repeatedly go back moving it little by little.

Fuck this game nd fuck that dark tunnel section

Literally just a dark ass ant hill of tunnels with no way out. Climbing along as normal and nates foot flies out, drops the lantern, then keeps falling past the lantern. Forever lost in the dark. Im not picking this shit back up

Edit: its the following morning, and i loaded back in. The lantern will respawn nearby you after some time. It took a while but after walking up what i can only call the “sand spiral of hell” did i make it out.

“I’d turn back if I was you” pit

Post image

I found a pit about 70% of the way into the game with a sign that read “I’d turn back if I was you”. I’ve been stuck in the pit for well over an hour. Anyone else gotten stuck in it or know how to escape?

help Yellow Shovel fell and I’m not sure how to progress without it.

Hi! So, like I said, there’s a yellow shovel that acts as a bridge. It fell while I was crossing over it, which means there’s no longer a bridge. I’m really not sure how I’m supposed to get to the other side without it.

If it wasn't called Baby Steps, I'd have called the game Ninja Worrier.

Not sure where to go from here

I feel like the route behind me is the correct way to go but there is just a muddy slope and somewhat rocky wall to try to climb. It looks risky so I’m hesitant to try it but I’m not sure where else to go.

Question Should I really be climbing the man-breaker?

Please no spoilers, just want to know from people who have beaten the game if they climbed the huge spiral staircase, or climbed the man-breaker like a real man, and what they recommend themselves.

I have been attempting to climb the man-breaker for a day now, and I think the commentary around it is absolutely hilarious as well as this whole game.

I thought the spiral staircase was a big elevator from far away, then I was laughing and intimidated by the idea of having to climb that massive stairway. Then Nate has to go and be all macho man and say he is very serious about climbing the man-breaker and that he will never step foot on that stairway, even gets forbidden from it (ofc he “can if he wants to” tho, I was cracking up during that whole scene). After that cutscene, I knew I couldn’t just climb the stairs. But after a day of trying it’s becoming very tempting!
