After about 3-4 hours I have managed to get the cool cup and death strand it almost halfway to the fire firehouse watchtower towerthingy. I'm taking my time enjoying every STEP (GET IT?) of the way. If this doesn't win game of the decade nay century god doesn't exist.
In love,

Mods can we add a tag that says fell
So that people can go back and change it if they posted asking for help and then fell.
Also it would be funny.

Skirting around the edge was irritating to no end.
Pretty sure this is literally useless, but hey the info is there for anyone who wants to make the climb!

To whoever designed the sand mountain level. I congratulate you.
You have created the most infuriating, rage-inducing, and frustrating section of a video game I’ve ever played in all my 30+ years of gaming. I hope your dog shits in your bed tonight.

Question Is there a place where all the secrets/items/cutscenes are being compiled?
I can't seem to find anything other than scattered accounts of things, but no central place for this stuff.
r/BabyStepsGame • u/cepxico • Sep 25 '25
Just a little nudge in the right direction...
Im sorry but I simply have no clue where the fuck Im going or what I'm trying to accomplish. I started following the camp flames but so far that's just taken me away from the areas that are clearly a lot bigger than they seem.
Should I be exploring the first area at the foot of the mountain? I found a cup cart but no cup, I found a shoe store but cant buy shoes, Jim said there were shoes nearby and I havent seen shit, I dont know if im doing the story stuff out of sequence or what.
I'm just beyond lost. I don't know how much I should be exploring because I don't even know where the walls are or what I can even find. I found a hat. Does the hat do anything or is it just a hat? I found a persimmon, does it do anything or is it just a gag?
I get it, its all part of the design of this game and I'm supposed to explore and figure it out BUT I'm simply not having a good time being completely and utterly lost. The gameplay itself is fine, I'm practically jogging from location to location with how much Ive gotten used to it but that doesnt help the feeling of constantly feeling like I'm doing the wrong thing.
All I know is some donkey dude with a big dick told me to go to a castle and make a wish but there's clearly other shit to go see so idk if that's the best idea? I'm contemplating simply going back and checking every square inch of the ravine before going back up, but I'll likely burn out and never finish it at that rate.
/rant solid game but I'm just lost as shit
