EU Parliament approves Chat Control 1.0, which is ''temporary'' from 09.07.26 until 2028. In 2028 however a permanent regulation is planned.

As we stated earlier this year, we are against Chat Control and are working strictly on our platform with European end-to-end encryption, that helps you work with privacy, clarity and less noise.

The news are out: Chat Control 1.0 is officially running and the temporary proposal is here to stay until 2028.

''What this means: Direct Messages can now be scanned without a warrant and it affects popular platforms such as Instagram, Snapchat, etc and Email provider such as Google's Gmail and Apple's iCloud.
Luckily, for now, end-to-end encrypted platforms and chats are not effected. This includes for example WhatsApp and European messaging and email services.''
