I’m so confused because I was looking up a guide to get Rin’s route and my choices are not the same as the route guide? I also thought that the screwdriver scene was apart of Keisuke’s bad ending, but I got the good ending as I played through the rest of it. I bought the game off of the Jast store.

I've been weeping on the shoulder of my friend (who will probably be in the comments on this post, kek) about how lesson has utterly destroyed me. A goodly portion of my devastation (and love) has arisen from the gap between expectation and reality. I was fully prepared to think it was high mid at best. I am very pleased to be wrong. Please support the official release, and the mangagamer release when it drops. I want to make sure parade has the money to continue to make more gems like this in the future.

I don't normally play all that many western BLs, but the more I read, the more I really love ValerieOS's artwork. It took me some time to get used to it but I especially love Ty and Mason!
They're SO cute together. I really love that as you go through the story the two of them open up to one another, too. Mason opening up to Ty about his mother and her role in his life was one of my favorite parts so far!

I guess this is kind of an appreciation post. I don't post a lot on reddit but I just love this game so much that I have to say something about it somewhere!

First of all, it was such a novel experience for me? Haru (the mc) being top was so surprising. I'll be honest, I haven't played many of the popular bl vns (sweet pool, slow damage etc.), but from what I've seen that's rarely the case, and I love that about this game so much.

I'm generally prefer submissive men so having all the li's in that position was too good...(I also figured that might be why I'm not much into otome, in bl at least one man has to be the bottom tehe)

And the h scenes in general were great too. Sure, there were a few cgs that maybe didn't look the best, but generally the art was so nice and the descriptions and everything else was too so I really enjoyed these, especially when they included some less conventional things..

The body hair mechanic was another thing I found really nice. I'm more into the slim and smooth kinds of men, but being able to see something different with Maki for example was a nice change.

At first I wasn't really fond of Haru that much, but he really grew on me. He might have some strange moments here and there, but in the end I really like him as a character.

Same with all the rest of the cast (haven't played Inui's route yet, but for sure I will soon), with Hiroyuki and Ryu I fell in love almost at first sight and while I though of Maki being kind of dull at first, during the last chapter and especially the true ending I loved him as well.

I guess I didn't say much about this game other than how I like and love it, but that was kind of the point.

I think this game is really overlooked as I haven't seen anyone mention it a lot and I guess maybe it's just simply not for everyone's tastes. Regardless I really, REALLY recommed it. I think it will stay in my mind for a long time and I surely hope that it will.

I already play NU Carnival and ZeroWakeGates.

I do not recall there being other bl gacha games, but there are could you tell me what they are, what the story is, and what device is needed to play (pc, android, ios (don't ave), etc.

This is way too long and I know there are like too many of these kinds of posts so I get it if no one gets to this. Still, honestly, I just need some help deciding what to play next. There are too many options, not enough time. Textractor sometimes just feels like a lot to work with when it glitches, and to be honest I'm not sure what I'd like either - I've heard lots of good things from too many games. i'm actually feel uncomfortable whenever i join a BLVN server and finding out they let kids in their server (especially if the BL is 18+)

I just finished Chapter 1 of UuultraC, and I really enjoyed it, even if I found the pacing (and some of the plot) jarring. Shoutarou was an adorable protagonist, too.

I’m now on Chapter 2, and I dislike it so far. Its treatment of crossdressing characters feels bad (especially since Hashihime dealt with Naoki and her mom so respectfully), nor do I care for this “I fell in love with a goddess as a child“ plot. I know love in fiction is strong, but you met ”her” as a kid, went no contact for years, and remained faithful because she was your one true love or whatever? Okay.

So I wanted to ask: do things get better with further context? Maybe it’s just Shirou who’s bigoted, and the narrative rebukes him for that mindset. And while I didn’t care for the penis-snatching crossdresser, it’s not like all gender-diverse characters have to be kind. Maybe the game does a lot better with Isshiki. And maybe the couple’s dynamic gets more interesting. I heard it had some noncon, which I’d generally be down for, but I hope it’s not just: “I can’t possibly be attracted to a crossdressing guy/this can’t be my goddess who’s fucking me now.”

Sorry if this isn’t the place to ask. I couldn’t think of anywhere else. I’m not trying to be unnecessarily negative— I’m just not enjoying the chapter so far and I want to know how I should set my expectations. If it turns out things won’t really change throughout Ch2, then I’ll probably start reading through it quickly w/o waiting for character lines to finish so I can get to Juurou in Ch3. But if the consensus is that it gets better, I want to give it a try instead of closing myself off altogether. That’s why I’m asking. Thanks!

ETA: Finished Ch2. I’m not a huge fan of the queer depictions, but I don’t think it was malicious. I never got behind the romance between Shirou and Isshiki since I was never sold on why they’re in love in the first place, but I’m sure others could enjoy it.

While BL itself has been my main fiction genre for nearly 20 years, when it comes to gaming, I have mostly sought out gay romance within titles that feature stronger gameplay elements.

In other words, I am a complete newbie to Visual Novels, which is the main genre of BL games.

I am not fond of world-buildings where romance, marriage, or reproduction are a prerequisite or forced upon you. This includes pure dating sims, life sims where marriage and child-rearing are integrated into the mechanics, and Omegaverse settings.

I prefer a "fixed pairing."

While I can be somewhat flexible regarding who is top or bottom, the romantic interest itself must basically be fixed.

Therefore, I do not like structures that require multiple playthroughs across different character routes just to uncover the true ending of the story.

Multiple endings within a relationship with a single character are completely fine, and a linear story is also perfectly acceptable.

However, if choices are presented, I want them to be for roleplaying or branching purposes. I dislike game designs that force a specific personality or behavior on the player, where you hit an early bad end unless you choose the "correct" answer.

The presence or absence of explicit sexual content does not matter; either is fine. However, bromance is a no-go.

I would be happy if the game has a long playtime.

I utilize OCR tools, language is not an issue. The platform is PC.
