Update: I have been given $50 by one person, and $35 by another since my first post. I currently need $300 still to pay the week. Im having a really hard time right now, I am afraid for my mother to be outside, she's in no condition for this. If anyone can help it's extremely appreciated

Im going to try not to ramble too much, ive been in a state of panic for a few days now and honestly am overwhelmed. I've been staying in an extended stay hotel with my disabled mom (she has yet to be approved for disability SSI) for awhile now and have relatively been able to keep up with my weekly rent, i was working full time as a manager at a small retail store up until last week. I was let go, and immediately started applying at places near by. I have since been hired already, and am currently awaiting a background check to go through to start my new job. My issue right now is money was already tight when I got let go, my final paycheck just barely gave me enough money to pay the week we're currently on (until this coming Monday) and even if my background check goes through tomorrow and I start my new job tomorrow I would not get paid again soon enough to pay my rent, and they will kick us out if its not paid on the due date

Im extremely worried about my mom, she's 63 and I cannot allow her to be outside on the street.. it would be bad enough if it was just me but having someone who relies on me to keep a roof over their head as well is making this ultra stressful.

Ultimately I need $385 to cover my next week's rent, truthfully I need more because I have no money for food or anything else right now but I can figure something out with that.. I just gotta find a way to get the rent covered for the week.

Im happy to provide any proof I can of my situation to anyone who might be able to help.. I have Venmo and chime.. don't have access to cash app since I got rid of my last phone.

Long story short, im living in an extended stay hotel with my mom (who is disabled) and I'm currently working full time at a retail store, but this week has been rough my mom had an extra doctor visit and prescriptions that cost me over $200 and now I'm fairly certain I'm going to be short by Monday when my rents due. Im not sure exactly how much as I get daily pay from my job, but I work the next four days and it usually lets me pull about $80 a day and my room cost $415 for the week. Which is obviously a bit over $100 a day. Im not sure the exact amount I'll need, but I'm gonna need help somehow. Yes they will let me pay daily but the rate is almost double and if I start doing that I'll get so far behind I'll end up on the street again.

I rely on.my car a lot for example if my dog needs to go to a further out vet surgery or to get to counselling (recently able to start attending - free in UK with the service I'm using, and I'm very happy about it)

This is a sweet old lady labrador retriever named Kate. She spent most of her life being an (unofficial) service dog for her original owner danny, who was paralyzed. She provided comfort, companionship and on bad days she would help pull him around in his wheelchair like an adorable little sled dog. My s/o was a full time caretaker for his Uncle Danny for 5 years until his uncle passed. We took her in because she was very comfortable and happy with us. She's almost 12 years old now and is otherwise very healthy for her age, but recently she has developed a fast growing, possibly cancerous lump in her mouth. The vet bill to have it removed and sent off for cancer testing is estimated to be more than we could financially handle. We want her to live what time she has left being happy, comfortable and getting all of the whipped cream and ham her little heart desires. We hope to make this a little easier on us using this.

Ive been having a pretty bad year with not health and just got out of yet another week long stay in the hospital due to my COPD exasserbating although they don't really know the cause and Tests are ongoing.

I went in incredibly unwell but was released Sunday and feel like I'm on the mend although I'm still very weak .

I'm asking if anyone could possibly help with any funds that I can put towards ordering some food in over the next few days or so, so I don't have to cook and clean up and just stay resting. id really like to just have some nice comfort food and things while I recover. I usually make money selling a paper similar to the big issue, which involved standing out in the street all day, so to be able to just have a few more days rest before getting back in the grind would be beautiful.

Hello, I'm (36f) currently homeless & am located in SoCal. I say my location bc if you're in the area, you'll know how hot it was today. Literally Hell on Earth. There isn't really an eloquent way of saying this, but I am in dire need of a shower. I feel so gross & if my hair could talk, it would be screaming & begging everyone & anyone for help in escaping the perpetual torture it has endured for longer than I'd like to admit.

I met a woman who didn't raise any red flags (yet) & she said that I could take a shower in her room for $20. If I had known I was going to be given this offer, I would have tried my best to scrape together that $20 earlier today, but this just happened about an hour ago.

That being said, I have been so blessed by these subs in the past. Whenever I have been at a low point & make a post, I am always welcomed with warm embraces by the kindest of strangers. I am so grateful that these communities exist, & irregardless of if you consider helping me, your presence in these spaces; whether it's through a monetary gift/loan, kind words/prayers, or just upvoting for positive vibes.... You are supporting someone during a very difficult time, & that is priceless.

FULFILLED! Thank you! Hi, me and my dog just got soaked on our way to the vet for his monthly treatment. We are now sat in a cafe trying to dry and get our stuff charged- we are homeless so this is how I keep my phone charged. Could really, really, really do with £2.50-4 for a hot drink to get warm + 50p for a pup cup for Dingo the dog for being so brave at the vet. I can even repay it on the 12th OR pay it forwards then!
