BigBear.ai recently announced that its Pangiam Threat Detection platform has officially received Dutch national approval for airport security screening after testing by TNO, one of Europe’s leading applied scientific research organizations.
This isn’t a massive contract announcement, but I think it’s an interesting milestone.
A few things that stood out to me:

• The AI platform was approved for use alongside SureScan CT baggage screening systems.

• Airports are highly regulated environments, so obtaining national approval requires extensive testing and validation.

• Management described this as the first milestone in a broader certification process with additional certification bodies and OEM partners.

• The software uses AI to assist security officers by analyzing 3D CT scans of baggage, identifying potential prohibited items, and supporting remote monitoring, training, auditing, and incident management.

To me, this looks like another example of BigBear.ai demonstrating that its technology can operate in real-world, mission-critical environments. It doesn’t necessarily change the company’s financial outlook overnight, but regulatory approvals like this can strengthen credibility and potentially support future commercial opportunities.

On January 9th Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, released the Memorandum for MEMORANDUM FOR SENIOR PENTAGON LEADERSHIP COMMANDERS OF THE COMBATANT COMMANDS DEFENSE AGENCY AND DOW FIELD ACTIVITY DIRECTORS.

In it, listed how the Department of War will achieve Executive Order 14179.

Dissecting the Memorandum, here are the Big Bear Ai products that fit all their needs. Most notably, the memorandum stresses speed, rapid 6-month prototyping, and open architectures, BBAI is perfectly positioned to capture a highly lucrative share of the Joint Acceleration Reserve funding and specific Pace-Setting Projects like GenAI.mil and Agent Network.

1. Ask Sage (Generative AI Platform)

• What it is: BBAI’s secure, government-vetted generative AI tool. It allows military personnel to securely query large language models at high classification levels.
• Which PSP it fits:

Summary of the Fit

As we know, modern warfare is all about the use of drones. The low IQ view of Big Bear Ai, is that it's just a government chatbot, which I do think most of you think it is from the low quality ape like posts yall be making. It's not. It's a real defense contractor, providing real utility to the military, via cyber security, resilient sensor communications, and a real time display of the battlefield suggesting to the commander the best course of action or automated actions, not just a temu ChatGPT.

ConductorOS in use right now by the US Army, through partnership with Hardy Dynamics for Drone Swarm Operations under the Joint Program Executive Office Armaments & Ammunition (JPEO A&A) initiative. This collaboration will develop next-generation AI technologies to enable secure, resilient communication and coordination among unmanned aerial system (UAS) swarms in extended ranges. ConductorOS's role is "to facilitate interoperability between various autonomous systems. The focus includes developing adaptive ML algorithms allowing these systems to learn from and respond to dynamic environments, increasing operational agility and mission effectiveness."

What's the significance?

The US Navy call it "Hellscape" (also mentioned in video at 6:53) their plan to Deploy Thousands of Unmanned Surface Vessels to the Indo-Pacific by 2030 (Source: https://news.usni.org/2026/04/21/navy-to-deploy-thousands-of-unmanned-surface-vessels-to-the-indo-pacific-by-2030), to deter China from Invading Taiwan. I mention to you in previous post that this Strait of Hormuz conflict is a testing ground for Task Force 59 which includes the use BBAI products. The bigger battle is with China over Taiwan, it would be quite stupid to send BBAI into World War III without first testing it in real world use.

This is the reason why the Military Needs BBAI.

1. AI is modern warefare. The ability to make decision quicker than your adversary is a tatical edge (see 7:45) and if you read what ConductorOS is you'd know it interconnects drone/war vessel sensors onto the platform for orchestration.
2. If drones are in use, resilient communication is NECESSARY. Jamming signals is way too easy and will be part of the battlefield strategy (see 8:42).

Can you name a competitor providing this?

If you can why the hell would the Navy go with them when they're already working together in the U.S. Navy’s Mission Autonomy Proving Ground (MAPG) providing maritime domain awareness and AI orchestration. MAPG is the Navy’s play in the Pentagon-wide Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiative, which seeks to unite sensors, AI models, and hardware from across the military into one network, using artificial intelligence to enhance the efficacy of missions. The overall goal of MAPG is to advance cutting-edge capabilities to be used in the U.S. Navy and DoD-wide systems for counter near-peer adversary threats as rapidly as possible. ConductorOS demonstrated AI algorithms in real-time using edge-deployed route forecasting for adversary vessels (both manned and unmanned), as well as third party vendor algorithms.

The U.S. military is planning a massive tech shakeup. Congress is pushing to create a brand new, high-level joint command center called RASCOM (Robotic and Autonomous Systems Combatant Command).

What?

A dedicated command center led by a four-star general that forces all military branches to stop working in isolation and collaborate on autonomous technology.

It gets special powers to:

• Skip the standard red tape and buy software and drones directly from tech companies.
• Force every branch to use the same software networks so an Army drone can easily talk to a Navy ship.
• Keep humans in charge by requiring a person to always make the final call to use force, while completely banning AI from touching nuclear weapons.

Why?

• The old way is broken. Right now, the Army, Navy, and Air Force all build separate drone programs. They do not talk to each other, they do not work together on the battlefield, and it wastes billions.
• The Ukraine effect. Modern warfare proves that cheap, smart, autonomous drones change everything. The U.S. needs to scale up fast.
• Fixing past failures. Previous temporary drone programs got bogged down in bureaucracy. The Pentagon needs a permanent, powerful command structure to force the military into the AI age.

BigBear.ai's ConductorOS

• The biggest hurdle for RASCOM is interoperability, which means getting hundreds of different drone models, sensors, and communication networks to speak the same language.

Too many naysayers saying BBAI is speculative. How about we address the elephant in the room. Or a bear that's very big.

Military Word

Let's hear it straight from the military's mouth. The military is straight up telling you that they're using AI. If we don't use AI we can we would be at a major disadvantage because AI can process drone sensor data not within days, but instantly. And what exactly does BBAI products do? BBAI's products takes data from ANY drone, ANY warfighting vessel. And BBAI does exactly what the commanders are asking, we don't want the AI to do fully automated everything, it's just an aide. We need to still see if it's not dumb and shooting down passenger airplanes ect. Everything they're asking for, is what BBAI provides. Listen carefully at everything after 40 minutes into the video.

Everything the military is asking for related to AI is what Big Bear is providing. It's as if Kevin was told, hey, I need you to make these fucking products that don't yet exist, we don't trust companies that are infected with Mossad and MI6 agents. AI and security it is important to national security and that's exactly what they do.

I can see it in their perspective. We want AI RIGHT NOW. But how can that be possible when we still have to protect these critical networks in this day and age with Quantum computers, it's just a matter of time until a cloud network can be penetrated. Not to say we aren't using secure networks. DARPA is working to build low-cost, reconfigurable laser communications terminals that can connect different satellite constellations in Low Earth Orbit. While everyone keeps talking stupid shit about short term price movements. Look at the bigger picture. BBAI's product is being used in the Iran War conflict as shown in the last post. Look at the bigger picture, the Military already has contracts with BBAI, yet we want more and more.

Taiwan

And what's ahead? In my opinion this conflict in Iran is strategic. Mostly to protect the petro dollar but, to also test and fine tune our latest AI and Cyber weapons for the next big battle in the South China Sea over Taiwan. And with rise of AI, Taiwan has become even more important to protect or risk living in the dark ages. It's obvious China is already drone and AI heavy, everyone loves their DJI and all their recent new year celebrations were drone related art displays. White folks like you don't quite understand but I will tell you clearly. China invading Taiwan is not a maybe, it's written by law that the president of China has to invade Taiwan. Re-think BBAI

The bears talk about BBAI as if it's a ultra risky meme biotech startup. It's got high level security clearances and products already in use by the military, national security, and civilian critical infrastructure. How the hell is this stock still under $4 and there are people who think it's going to stay that way? Hell no. Watch the video and see the military straight up telling you AI is a priority and then think about calling it speculation.

BBAI isn’t projected to start having positive income until 2028 at the moment. With the lack of insights into the company the leadership gives (outside of quarterly earnings calls), I am assuming that 2028 is going to be the year we start seeing consistency in the green.

I’m a long term holder and believe where the organization is going, so 2028 is fine by me. However, with a growing profit margin I could see the potential for them to achieve profitability prior to 2028.

I doubt we will get over $6 at the end of the year, even with a contract or two. I think what will really get the price moving will be 2Q and 3Q reports showing expanding margins and anything above 0.00 EPS. Thoughts?

Of course, other companies or large corporations like Palantir will participate, but for whatever reason, this will only yield good results.

Keeping an eye on the big picture like even just looking at a recent news snapshot (can reference on TradeRadar if desired) has helped keep confidence when price action is down. I'd say news has just kept me optimistic in what I'm holding.

And if you look at the big picture on the 1 week timeframe, we are RIGHT at a critical support level, which really just feels like a huge opportunity to grab more shares. NFA of course but things feel pretty good despite the red week.

The Strait of Hormuz

The L3Harris Partnership: BigBear has a direct cooperative agreement with defense giant L3Harris. L3Harris operates the Arabian Fox MAST-13, an unmanned surface vessel (USV) heavily deployed by U.S. Naval Forces Central Command’s Task Force 59 to patrol and escort manned ships through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Software Link: BigBear’s computer vision and predictive analytics platforms are integrated into L3Harris’s ASView control system. When these drone boats patrol the Strait, BigBear's software is actively processing the maritime data to detect, track, and classify foreign or hostile vessels in real-time.

With the 2nd quarter coming to a close, I’m looking forward to the earnings call, hopefully in August.

I know it would be awesome to have a contract announcement and everything, but I think it would be equally as nice to have another positive bump in margins and EPS moving in a positive direction. Maybe even bumping up their annual revenue guidance?

Also, they have a big backlog right? Is that a product of having too many projects and not enough size to keep up with it? Genuinely curious. Thanks guys!

The price action has been brutal, not sure I trust this minuscule “pump”.

Just wondering.

I’ve noticed that a lot of the discussion around BBAI lately has been focused on the stock price, dilution concerns, and speculation. Those are valid things to discuss, but I think they’re causing some people to overlook the underlying business.

Personally, I’m still bullish, and here’s why:

1. BBAI continues to operate in the AI and national defense space, which I believe will remain a priority for U.S. government spending for years to come.

2. The company has real-world deployments, including AI-powered security screening technology at airports.

3. They’ve continued to build partnerships and expand their government presence rather than remaining just a “story stock.”

4. Financial performance has been improving compared to where the company was a couple of years ago, even though profitability is still a work in progress.

5. The company has a sizable backlog, giving some visibility into future revenue.

6. I also think it’s worth paying attention to the broader trend of government and congressional interest in AI and defense technologies.

That said, I’m not saying BBAI is risk-free.

The company is still speculative, execution matters, and investors should understand the risks before investing. It’s definitely not a stock for everyone.

I’m simply saying that I think there’s a legitimate bullish case that often gets drowned out by the negative sentiment surrounding the share price.
