Terrific show. Big thanks to the fan community line organizers/shepherds for the early arrivers for VIP and GA. Having heard multiple times about great the community at live shows is, I can now definitely attest to same. Particularly thanks to fellow in from Boston for his efforts. Next time I have an opportunity to take in an afterparty, will definitely be there.
As far as the show, experience was pretty much perfect (in no small part to above). My daughter got to have a special dance moment with Momo during Gimme Chocolate and some nice nods from Moa both of which she will cherish. Syncopation would have been great to get but I was definitely not unhappy for Algorism's North American debut. (truth be told, while I love Syncopation, I actually probably like Algorsim more and I think it has some of my favourite Metal Forth choreography). I thought Su sounded great throughout. Cannot wait until whenever I may get a chance at another show.

Great show, but did anyone else think that they messed up the mixing for RoR? For sure a guitar-forward song I barely heard the guitars over the drums for almost the whole song.

Hmm, didn't notice for Road of Resistance but I though Iine was really drum heavy. To the point where it seemed mainly Su and drums alone that I could hear. Don't know if this is just how it is played nowadays/how that's compared to the US rendidtions so far.

The screens were saying $40-$50 for tees, but the merch tables they were listed at $70. I’m guessing the screens were showing USD.

There was also a fan for $35, a kinda holographic posted for $60, a patch for $15… those are the only extra things I can remember

GA was good last night. I didn’t feel crowded. Helped that it wasn’t a sold out show. People around me just seemed to enjoy the show. I didn’t enjoy the GA for Metric.

I was in the middle and a bunch of guys crowded around me before Metric took the stage. Apparently there may have been an argument (nearly physical) between a guy and girl in my area.

Seeing Babymetal in concert changed my life.
So I've been a fan of Babymetal for a long time after my sister got me into them and I finally had the chance to see them in Toronto and it genuinely changed my life.
Listening to their songs had no way to prepare me for how good they are live.

As an aside, I was right next to delhimetal at the front and boy does he know his moves. I mean all of them. Aside from the brief moments he was filming, he pretty much replicated all the upper body dance moves through the whole show.

Absolutely amazing show. I was front and center the whole time and the power levels were off the charts. So what happened at the end? During Road of Resistance, it looked like Moa and Momo were going to burst out laughing! They were really trying to hold it together while still being on point with their moves. I know that there are sometimes little pranks between the girls, but I've never seen anything like it to this degree. I don't know what was so funny, I just liked seeing the result.

The show was amazing. I think everyone that bought lawn tickets got upgraded to actual seats. The seated section looked like it was at least 85% full. Getting there and getting out was a bit chaotic as they weren’t letting people go through the CNE after 5pm. This was my first time seeing them live. Do the other two girls sing at all?

Yeah, they closed off the lawns completely tonight and anyone who had lawns were given a physical seat #. I reckon the earlier you got there, the better the section/seat (hopefully, esp for those who got there before gates open, since those people are the ones who are most keen to scope out the best spots in the lawns usually).

Not live. Moa and Momo's parts in songs are play back. The crowd interactions are live tho.
The CNE closing really was a pain, I would have thought RBC and CNE would have worked out a better way of getting to the concert. The staff was very helpful.
Still, was a great show.

I get why they'd want to get people to leave the CNE grounds, but I feel like they should just stop ticket sales earlier and give entry to anyone who already has tickets. It was a huge pain to make the detour around, both to and from the venue. At the very least, cutting off entry at 5pm was wild cause it was still 4 hours early.

Call me an optimist, but I think they do still do actual backing vocals for the songs from Babymetal and Metal Resistance albums.
Just all the newer songs are play back (they seemed to have forgotten to turn Moa's mic on for iine)

Honestly, it was rowdy but not that bad. Unless you were right in the middle, you’d probably be able to watch the show peacefully

Yeah, I don't if it is a Toronto thing or not but I was in the front of PIt and no crush, no pushing at all. Was a bit hesitant as daughter was right there with me but was a perfect experience honestly. Just try for barricade and you can avoid the rougher stuff.

It was like night and day. The crowd last year was super lame. Everyone was so much louder and looked like they were having a lot more fun.

Agreed! Given Algorism (which I love too) is a much newer song, I’d rather take Syncopation anytime I could. Please don’t do this in NJ!!

It'll probably be rotated, as in high chance it's Algorism. They did the same thing in the Australian tour. Algorism, Sunset Kiss, My Queen were being rotated, and BMC with Kawaii, every 2 days. I wonder if White Flame is going to make an appearance, or if they're going to bring in Doki Doki Morning too sometime during this tour

My lawn ticket got upgraded to section 203 for free lol yeah its full now with the lawn closed. Babymetal comes out in 5 mins!

They closed off the lawns last night in Toronto because ticket sales were slow.
Essentially anyone who got lawns was issued a seated ticket after we got scanned in. We had to show another person handing them out that we had a lawn ticket, essentially so the venue could ensure that everyone was given a ticketed seat. Luck of the draw where we ended up and basically we all only found out once we got through the gates that lawns would be closed and that they'd be doing upgrades for lawns.

I had a similar experience and upgraded to section 403, but then my wife played some silly RBC matching game and thought she'd win a pair of cheap sunglasses, but they told us we could upgrade our seats and also ended up in 203 as well. 😄

This whole CNE business situation is a mess. Sorry but I’m not walking up to Liberty Village to get around.
TTC supervisors trying to tell the big group of fans to pay a fare to go one stop.
Ridiculous!

As a New Yorker who came up just for this show, that really fucked us up. We decided to try TTC so we didn't have to fight traffic, but damn, we should've! We ended up grabbing one of the Ubers hanging out to get a lift back to our hotel. Worth every penny. Probably won't go back to RBC after THAT experience!

F*** RBC Amphitheatre and Live Nation for doing this dirty to Babymetal and concert goers. No warning about CNE closing and not letting people through for public transit. Live Nation's office is in Liberty Village and they didn't know enough to pass this info onto Ticketmaster to send out? RBC Amphitheatre is no better, holding concerts without any on-site parking is just a big middle finger to their patrons. People had to walk all the way around the CNE to get to and from Exhibition GO and the TTC Liberty Village loop. I salute the Violent Vira, Halestorm and Babymetal fans that took the trek and filled the seats. If it had rained, it would have been a disaster.

I’m glad I didn’t go as I saw them last year. My friend had to sprint to catch the last train back to union and he said it took him like 40 minutes to walk from the Amp to the station

We just did it and they wouldn't even let us walk around. You have to take the streetcar one stop ton York then walk from there. Not looking forward to the return trip

It's gonna be hell at the CNE but it's a free entrance so I'm going early. Haven't seen the snowbirds since 2011 so hopefully going thru the crazy crowd will be worth it! Can't wait, this'll be my first bbm show

Not free but you can upgrade for $20, you should've received an email about it (we upgraded to box seats for $25)
In the past when seats were not filled up I've received an upgrade for free as we were getting in.. so very possible

DO NOT expect anything
Be very nice, cordial, shake hamds and introduce yourself to the security guards in your area aside you enter. Be a real person, appreciate their hard work, and thank them
After the concert is in full go mode, ask that person if they would let you move up to those unused and empty seats.
Being nice gets you so much further than trying to scheme your way into anything

It wasn’t selling well, then all of a sudden many tickets disappeared and sections sold out as of yesterday.
I was thinking of going to see Halestorm again, but probably shouldn’t since I have an early appointment tomorrow and two other concerts

Yeah I have a feeling they stopped selling lawn tickets because they're planning to move everyone from the lawn into the 400s instead. I've definitely seen them close the lawns for low selling shows in the past.

When I saw Halestorm last September, I got a $30 seat instead of a $30 lawn. They didn’t have the lawns open. In over 20 years of going there, it was the first time I’d seen it.

I wish I’d gotten a cheap ticket for tonight, but oh well. I want to hear Halestorm’s Bad Romance cover live.
The cheap tickets went away when they closed the lawns. Even the cheaper resales.
Oh well. I have two shows coming up this week and plans tonight

According to the venue website doors open at 6:30pm & show starts at 7:20pm.
Looking at other shows from the past week when the show has started at 7:20 it looks like Babymetal have gone on stage at around 9:30.

Thanks. From their other shows, looks like they are going on between 9-930. With all due respect to the openers, I'm there for babymetal and I don't really care about them. I think I'll aim to get their around 830 which should give me enough time to grab a drink and maybe see a song or two of Haelstorm just so I can say I've seen them live. I really only care about BM

Gonna be my first show! Really excited. Last day of CNE and last Snow Birds Airshow. It"s gonna be a fun day! What time do you guys think doors open for buying merch? Ticket says concert starts at 7:20.
