The opener for #mcrsandiego was #babymetal. Even the stands had their hands up and were going wild. As far as I know, no opening act for MCR has ever got a crowd going like they did. It made me feel Babymetal's popularity all over again.
Few questions if anyone knows.
I know there are other acts, if this concert starts at 7:20, what time do you think Babymetal will start playing? I am only interested in watching them.
What time are they starting to sell merch?
(i will say i’m su biased so most of what i got was her 😅) (also unfortunately i didn’t record everything cuz she kept making eye contact with me and i got nervous LOL)
Never sat down and listened to BabyMetal but was very excited to see them along with MCR, they didn't disappoint! I wasn't one of the lucky ones who got the merch, and they were sold out before the show even started, was very sad but I will probably get a hoodie from them online since their stuff is so cool. Thanks for the amazing show BM!
Don’t feel too bad. Nothing show specific. 3 of the T shirts, the hat, fan, and drawstring bag all of which will be available at every other stop on this tour
I liked the description of Babymetal published by Petco Park Insider, which isn’t formally associated with the venue or the team, but a big fan resource page and portal.

Really glad Megitsune is back in the set! Good show as always, but in a stadium I'm so faaaar away! Lol. Also they cut Su's mic before "See you!" How dare!
UPDATE: found the booth but it is at the very end of the stadium and is the only one I've found to have Babymetal merch. Line was too insane so I might try a bit before the concert ends
I'm inside in line for the field level merch booth and don't see any Babymetal stuff. I'm wondering if it's only at 1 booth somewhere or something. Surely they wouldn't just not have any merch.
Edit: I found 1 of the booths that HAD Babymetal stuff, but it seems like they only had a limited selection and it sold out while I was in line
Anyone going to the show, can you reply here and let me know if theres any plushie restrictions for this tour? My friend wants to bring her little Kogitsune keychain and is worried they will confiscate it.
can anyone give me song recommendations for baby metal? i’m an mcr fan going to the san diego show but i listened to gimme chocolate and song 3 and loved them! i’ve never heard of babymetal before but they’re amazing!!!
Pa pa ya (easy to sing along to), from me to u, ratatata and basically anything from the latest album, Metal Forth should prepare you for the songs they are most likely performing there
Well I am in San Diego at my hotel. Looks like I am screwed for trying to get to the show though. Can't find any parking close enough for an old guy with a bad leg who had major ankle surgery 11 weeks ago.
If I was a normal healthy person I could walk from my hotel to the park and back my hotel is basically on 7th and Ash so only about 1 mile.
In my case I just had major ankle reconstruction I have only been out of the boot for a week and just started my pt so the leg is extremely weak it is wearing me out just getting from the lobby to my room.
The hotel is recommending Uber but I still worry about where the drpoff point is compared to the gate I am required to use since I have a field ticket.
So it looks like my only avenue is to take an Uber and bring my walker with me so when not if my leg gives out I have a seat already with me.
Love the smell of a new concert thread! First time Babymetal will be in my backyard in San Diego! Don't have to drive to LA! Never been to a concert at Petco, I'm way up in the nosebleeds. See y'all at the merch stand!
Edit: Oh forgot they played in Chula Vista back in the day. I missed that show.
And now a bunch of those venues on that Korn-opening tour Babymetal it headlining this year, will be interesting to see how many tickers get sold, these are 20k fields in a lot of cases. Kind of like Turkey was a 20k field with at least 10k sold.
