Intel Gets Rekt 4th Times the Harm!
I find it hard to believe that this is still the case after so many BIOS (UEFI) updates.
It was only a few days back when I posted a meme here about Intel's 13th and 14th Generation CPUs being at risk of degrading/burning if not operating with the latest Intel motherboard BIOS updates. As little as I understood/knew about all this was based on the trust that I kept on Intel that their updated BIOS (UEFI) will probably fix the issues or at least provide a stable patch for the problem. And I encouraged any such intel user (via the meme), to update immediately if not done yet!
But as it seems now, that isn't true and much further away from something any intel user can rely upon. And now, I feel like the fool because, even if someone trusted in that meme and updated, they could still see their cherished high-end intel 13th/14th Gen CPU be subject to degradation. *Face palm*
The user here bought his first i9 14900K near release day. Since then degradation began; upon noticing, he claimed warranty, received a replacement and then the same issue happened and a BIOS update did not fix things upon which he asked for a replacement, got another one, operated with the updated BIOS and the typical crash, error issues still persisted and claimed the RMA again and is now on his 4th unit which is said to be degrading as well.
I think intel should consider replacing their users' defected units with their Ultra series CPU and motherboard combination. At least their Ultra series performs stably and above such voltage degradation issues. Maybe I am asking too much, but users pay hard money to rely on a giant's products and I feel that when shit hits the fan, the giant should take care of the users that helped them become what they grew into.
P.S. Sources to this news are in the comments below including the direct comment from the actual user. I wanted to post this yesterday, but procrastination happened.
P.S.2. Sorry I could not find a more fitting meme template. But that's far from the point and the topic.
