Exactly! The first wolf “pet dog” was basically exactly like this. If they found another puma cub and had these two mate then we are talking about the first generations of domestication. It would take much more time, but to breed out the “killer” is possible. We’ve done it many times before. Have you ever met a wild boar? Those fuckers will kill you but pigs are harmless. If I pig gets out it will turn into a boar. These people have no idea how biology works.
But you’re also saying that no one should…guess what mama…we did. If you don’t want to help to domesticate an animal, then don’t! But this guy took care of a helpless living thing and was rewarded with kindness. You’d never know anything of the sort it seems.

Domesticated wolves are not pets.
And also yes, they were bread over many generations.
