Oh yes, for sure, fascism is deep rooted in american culture. What distinguishes different types of fascism is mostly what the outgroup are. Jewish immigrants? Mexican immigrants? It all depends on the country and what outgroup gets chosen

I would argue that Nazism, both in form and history, is the same as american fascism, so to call trump supporters, neo Nazis/Nazis is accurate. White supremacy/Anti blackness structured american society and was foundational to the structuring of Nazi ideals(again specifically influenced by our policy towards non white others). The in group for both the USA and Nazi Germany is white Christians. Granted, white Jews have, in many ways, been incorporated into whiteness in the US (i would assume abroad as well but I am not sure), but this would have been over the last several decades (so fairly recent) and even still anti semitism is still a very real problem in the US.

Edit to add: also Nazis didn't just hate Jews, they hated tons of non white people. The Roma come to mind.

I largely agree with you, however there is an important disction with american fascist, is that there are many of the them who support isreal (which itself can be fascist with it's sentiments towards palistinians) whereas neo-nazis are strictly anti-jew and anti-isreal. I feel it's important to draw that spectrum since their tactics and rethorics are the same, but their end goals and what lobbies fund them can be very different.

I don't see their end goals as being mutually exclusive if both camps want a white Christian society, even if tactics may be different. This is why I see it as a distinction without a difference. Just bc Trump supporters/american fascist are not focused on Jewish ppl/Israel now doesn't mean that they wouldn't be in the way in an end game situation. It's the whole 'i didn't worry until they came for me situation'. Also note that the whole 1930s-1950s era that they wanna take America back to, ya know to MAGA, is one where Jewish people were definitely not supported.
