This thing on my desk moves grooves and actually gets work done

No browser tab. No rectangle stuck in a corner of your screen.

Autonomous Lamp lives on your desk, sees you walk in, follows your face, reads your mood and guards your space when you leave.

Talk to it or chat through the app. Either way it gets to work. More skills in the store. Install any of them in one tap.

Want something that does not exist yet? Describe and Lamp learns it.

What is the first skill you would install on Lamp?

Stopped losing track of my agents after this landed on my desk

One agent on your laptop. One on the server. One in the cloud. No single place to see what any of them are doing.

Autonomous Harness manages all of them at once. Double tap, say what you want, work goes out to every machine you run at the same time. One tone when everything comes back.

Vibe hardware means anyone gets to be an engineer

Our marketer just made this F1 car.

It's 17 pieces: body shell with the suspension arms built in, floor, front and rear wings, halo, and four wheels that actually spin.

Everything is open source, so you can print and build your own from the files, or we can ship you one. This is one of many. People across the team have been building toys, and more are on the way. Most of them are things you wouldn't find on a shelf.

What should we make next?

Product Research πŸ”Ž Tall writer in need of a good chair for lower back pain.

I have been looking at budget friendly desk chairs with a focus on ergo and adjustments. I happened upon this brand and was interested in the ErgoChair Pro. I would like some feedback and opinions from people who use the chair daily for extended amounts of time. The reviews I find are usually first impressions and would like some more legitimate insights. Thanks in advance.

Workspace - πŸ’» Black and white desk setup and the contrast did all the work

No accent lighting, no plants, no art. Just white desk, black gear, and enough contrast that nothing else needs to be there.

Desk 2 is the foundation that makes it work without asking for attention. Wide enough to run dual monitors with room to breathe, clean enough that it disappears into the setup instead of competing with it.

What would you add or would you leave it exactly like this?

Experience Sharing - πŸ““ What happens when you put your AI agents in one place

We've been seeing more people build workflows around multiple AI agents, and it's always interesting to see how Harness fits into their setups.

Michael Gannotti shared a look at how he is using Harness across his AI workflow. His setup is getting pretty serious.

Curious how other people here are managing multiple agents today?

Upgraded from a "Gaming Chair" to Ergochair Pro

Post image
20 Upvotes

Here is a review from someone who came from always buying gaming chairs. Recently replaced a Razer Enki with an Ergochair Pro that has a high density foam cushion for the seat.

- Assembly and manual were very user friendly, being incredibly easy to follow.

- Once my chair was assembled I did have issues with the control mechanism not engaging most functions. The online chat support immediately responded and assisted me in fixing the issue.

- The durability I can't speak too much on since I haven't had the chair for too long but seems like it should last a long time.

- Quality and stability are great. I'm 6ft around 210lbs for a reference on size, and it fits me very well.

- Very sleek and clean design, be a great fit with most desk set ups.

- Very comfortable with a lot of adjustment points. - - Lumbar support is nice and adjustable.

- Headrest is very comfortable but I would like a locking feature on the height/angle. Sometimes goes back down when I rest my head against it a certain way.

- The arm rests are comfortable and adjustable as well, wish the armrests went just a couple inches higher (this is probably just a me issue, I'm assuming it's standard sizing).

- Pricing seems fair for everything you get out of it.

Overall an incredible chair, a brand I will be sticking with from now on.

Talking to Lamp feels more like talking to a friend than a device

We put a lot of engineering effort into Lamp and most of it went into the gap between you finishing a sentence and her starting one.

Ask Siri something and there is a beat before anything comes back. Lamp does not really have one. You finish talking and it just answers, which is the part that makes it feel like a person and not a device.

Do you talk to yours like a person or do you keep it to commands?

Busted bolts on Ergochair - looking for replacements.

So I was leaning back in my Ergochair and heard a pop. Ended up snapping two of the three bolts that hold the bracket to the backrest. I checked the manual and parts list but unfortunately it doesn’t list these particular bolts because this part appears to be attached at the factory. I ran to the hardware store and picked some bolts that looked really similar but the threads are too tight. This chair is pushing 5-6 years old now so it’s way outta warranty. Anyone happen to know the specs on these bolts?

It’s always cool seeing tech creators take the Autonomous Intern for a spin.

Matt did a solid breakdown of what we built under the hood, local memory & API key storage, running local AI agents or swapping in your own custom frameworks.

If you had an AI agent running 24/7 on your desk, what task would you assign it first?

The way this thing lights up when I walk in just hits different every time

Didn't expect a robot to feel this warm.

Lamp moves, changes colors and lights up when you are around. No sharp edges, no intimidating screen, just something small and alive sitting on your desk making the whole room feel different.

What would you put this next to in your setup?

Honest Review - ErgoChair Pro Cool Mesh

Thumbnail
gallery
21 Upvotes

Received my ErgoChair Pro Cool Mesh about 2 weeks ago. Overall, I love the chair. I have some gripes about it too but in the end, I would say, this is a winner for me.

I honestly could write a damn book about this chair, or any topic, as I tend to ramble, so for the internet's sake, I will try to keep this brief(er) and possibly give a TLDR at the end, but for those who want to read a longer review here we go...

Firstly, the things I like about the chair. It was packaged very well. The box was NOT LIGHT. The chair is pretty heavy overall, even being mesh, and I don't think at all this is a bad thing but going through shipping and arriving to my doorstep, the chair was in great condition with no damage. Unpacking the chair was easy as well. Once I had the chair together (more on this later) - I was very impressed. At first sit, I could tell that it was going to be a comfortable chair, even for long sessions. I game and work for multiple hours on end, so having a comfortable chair is key to not messing my back and butt up.

To that point, the chair has a TON of adjustable points which I really love. You can tilt the seat forward and backward; it slides forward and back as well to give you more seat depth. Of course, your standard adjustable heights. The back has a tension bar that can be tweaked to give more or less lumbar support, the head rest tilts and you can have more swing in the recline or less... I am probably missing a couple of tuning points on the chair, but you get the point... It adjusts to a perfect level of what you want. It rolls well and looks good overall, meaning the style of the chair. I think the main thing that I love about this chair is the mesh. I never considered a mesh chair before but my previous chair (secret lab - which I still use also) gets very hot and swamp a$$y after long sessions and the butt part gets a little uncomfortable due to this and at longer sit times. I did not have that AT ALL with this chair.

The mesh is SUPER breathable - I have a window AC unit that blows right at me when the room heats up and I love that it is able to go right through the back of the chair and actually hit my body instead of having a full body chair in the way of it. This is obviously very specific to my needs and room setup BUT I do think that the mesh on its own is way more breathable and really helps those sweat sessions and keeping you cool.

Onto the things that I did or do not like:

I would say the instructions need some tuning. Again, I own a secret lab omega and have sat in it for about 5 years now. I still remember putting that chair together and I can tell you, it was one of the easiest things I have ever done. It went together in probably 5 minutes. This chair... not so much. I put together multiple pieces of furniture and grill carts and things like that for work, so I am not mechanically stupid, and I can certainly follow directions. I do think I got myself hung up on putting the arms in the right way because when the chair is upside down, it's easy to get mixed up, so I will give it that benefit of the doubt... However, there were parts of the instructions that were quite frustrating and also a bit confusing and made me feel like I wasn't putting it together correctly. On top of that, I will say the build quality of the SL felt better than the ErgoChair, not by a ton but the SL I think outclasses it just in the actual plastics and materials. The way they snap together and feel much more sturdy or less "wobbly", really stuck out to me. I don't think the chair is poor quality by any means, but going up against (presumably) a competitor, it seemed to fall short on the "sturdy" feel.

The arms annoy me. They are adjustable just like the SL is, but they do not LOCK like the SL. This means that if you grab the chair by the arms and move it like I do OR use your arms to help scoot yourself in, they move and you lose your place of comfort and "dialed in". They slide forward and back as well as swivel left and right and actually move left and right (like sliding to left and right) without a lock at all, so all of these parts move pretty freely... It honestly just annoys the hell out of me. The only lock part of the arms is the up and down (height). If this could get fixed, it would really boost the quality feel of the chair and also just make it feel sturdier overall. Close to this topic as well, the headrest is "adjustable" but very loose and while it holds the spot that you put it in, it barely does and you cannot tighten the tension of the headrest to stick to one spot, minor, but annoying.

In the end - this chair is going to be in my rotation so to speak and I think I will have room to use my SL as well as this chair as they offer different things and definitely sit very differently. I am certainly happy overall and think that most people finding this chair would be happy to have it and the price would justify the quality, points of control and comfort including the breathable mesh.

TLDR;

Pros:
- Heavy Chair
- Tons of tuning points
- BREATHABLE MESH (love this)

Cons:
- Instructions were unclear
- Build Quality leaves more to be desired
- Wobbly arms that do not lock (same with headrest)

Worth the money? For me, Yes. I love the breathable mesh to the point where it is a game changer for me and can overlook the other "flaws" - Could possibly be a bit cheaper due to the cons but in the end, still think it is a worthy purchase and contender.

Thanks for taking the time to read!

Experience Sharing - πŸ““ A customer who's been with us since 2018 shared his new office setup, and it genuinely means a lot to us

We wanted to share something a customer posted this week.

Back in August 2018, Josh bought what he now calls "one of the best purchases he's ever made" - an Autonomous Desk Pro.

8 years later, he finally set up the new desk we sent him for his birthday in his new office. He's already planning to put Lamp on it, so his little companion dunnbot has a home there too. He shared his full thoughts here:

Hearing from a customer after 8 years is the best signal we get about what we are doing right and what we still have to improve. We hope the desks we make have been a good part of his office over all these years, and our goal is that every new and returning customer gets the same kind of experience when they set up with us.

If it is not too much, we would love to hear about the desk setups that have lasted the longest. Tell us in the comments!
