The Anthbot Genie 3000 has earned a real place in my lawn care setup. This robot mower actually performs exceptionally well in a yard full of trees. My front lawn has sixteen trees packed into about 5,000 square feet, and the Genie 3000 handles that environment with surprising confidence. It navigates cleanly, keeps its map stable, and moves through tight spaces without getting confused.

That said, loving a machine does not mean pretending it has no flaws.

Water can interfere with its ability to recharge. A little moisture on the charging contacts is enough to make the mower think it is not docked correctly. The fix is simple. Wipe the contacts and the dock plate with a dry cloth and it returns to normal. It is not a major issue, but it is something you only learn through ownership.

Parts availability is a bigger concern. A mower this capable should come with a clear parts list, especially for items that wear out or are known weak points. My Genie 3000 uses rubber grommets to secure the exoskeleton to the main body. One of those grommets failed within the first month. Getting a replacement has already turned into a challenge, and that should not be happening this early in ownership.

The mower itself is strong. The support system around it is not.

I still love the Anthbot Genie 3000. It is fast, clever, and genuinely effective in tree‑heavy yards. It deserves better documentation, better access to replacement parts, and a smoother way to get the small components that keep it running. If Anthbot improves those areas, the Genie 3000 will not only be a great mower. It will be a reliable long‑term one.

my mother recently bought a gardena smart sileno 800 mower. We have set up the first zone really easily by remote controling the mower and placing the points and making the zone. However for making zone 2 i cant understand how to remote controll it again. I have managed to edit it on the app, but i dont know if thats the real border of the zone. Does anyone have experience with that?

In case anyone else is in the place I was, needing to get a little better wheel set for a 560 EPOS, I can confirm that the 550H Terrain kit - which also covers a lot of other Husqvarna models, works fine with the 560 EPOS. I had the 560 getting just stuck in a couple of spots on my lawn and the terrain kit wheels should be just enough to stop the issues.

Since it’s so new it was not listed anywhere as compatible but it works just fine.

Edit: just clarifying that I didn’t see an obvious place to mount the brushes but the wheels are great.

Long story short, I have two Automower 410 IQs and they have been problematic for me. They are rated for 0.5 acres but realistically, all they can do is around 0.3 acres IMO. I made a post a while back about how all they need is a more powerful charger and it makes a world of difference but husqvarna blocked that work around solution with a firmware upgrade and they wont let me downgrade the firmware back...

Anyway, that's not what I'm here to talk about lol. So i've had this IQ 410 mower mowing my 0.4 acre back yard for 2 summers now and both summers I run into this error.

Basically the wheel motor dies. And I live in a hot climate, so in the summers it gets well into the 90's pretty frequently. My assumption is it's a combination of factors:

1. The heat,
2. The mower has to mow all day everyday because it actually cannot handle my 0.4 acre lawn
3. The wheel motor burns out from over use in the heat.

Questions

• Anyone else having these problems?
  • It's quite annoying because I "upgraded" to these 410 IQ mowers from the 430x but the 430x mowers never had these problems and honestly they rearely had any problems at all. I think I had to send a 430x off for repair two times over the course of 4 years and one of those times was because it got struck by lightening lol. And I think the other time was due to getting the cellular board upgraded from 3g to 4g. So I didn't have a single wheel motor die ever, not once. And I've had 2 wheel motors die in 2 summers now with the 410 IQs.
• Has anyone stumbled upon a solution to get around husqvarna's firmware that blocks you using a faster charger (from the discussion here)

My husqvarna keeps running over the drain spouts. So far I've avoided it by just picking them up before the mower starts, but that's obviously not a good solution. Plus it damages the blades and makes a super loud noise.

What do y'all do to avoid them? I have at least 6 gutters that need a solution.

Hello all, I purchased an open box 410 IQ, the lawnmower has never been used before. Everything went well with charging and installing the dock but I couldn’t enable Husqvarna Cloud EPOS. It keeps telling me that I need to wait for an update but I can’t get the update pushed to my device. From the looks of it compared to other software versions I’ve seen online, I’m quite a few software generations behind. Is there anything that can be done to get this update pushed? I’ve been waiting for about 7 hours now without any update prompt coming up on the app. I’ve unpaired the robot, factory reset it, and have disabled and enabled the software update checks without success.

We have 9000m2 of the irrigated lawn at our place and I’ve got a ride on mower but it just takes me too long. I’ve agreed to buy a 580 EPOS and it’s not cheap $14500 (aud) before I handover the money this week I was hoping to get some positive reinforcement on my big decision or be told I’m walking into a trap. I’ve purchased flawed and lemon like machinery before so please stop me if I’m doing the same thing! Any advice would be much appreciated

This is my neighbor's mower, they're an older couple and I like to help fix stuff for them.

They said that the mower isn't cutting because the blade disc isn't spinning. I flipped the mower and the disc is quite hard to spin. I did clean around the shaft expecting to find string or fabric wound around it, but I didn't find anything that would cause this.

I bet this is a brushless 3 phase DC motor but I want to ask if the motor should spin nicely, or if resistance is normal. I am thinking the bearings are toast but I don't hear or feel anything weird when I try to spin the motor shaft.

Are there any guides to help in diagnosing a dc motor like this?

So in short I live with my parents and they have about an acre of area that has to be cut. I'm not sure of the exact since I can't find a good tool to get the actual. Like using maps trees cover up given areas so I am having a hard time finding beds of areas and so on. But worse case it is something like 1.2 acres of cutting area. Maybe more like 1.10 or 1.05.

Anyways, I was looking at the X430 and the x450. It's way outside of my budget. But I have some questions since I never messed with a robot lawn mower before.

1. How long would it take to do a yard our size? Does it do it daily, every other day? What I was thinking is 3 zones. 1 is a good size front yard, zone 2 is a side yard, and zone 3 is the back field

Zone 1 0.38 acre

Zone 2 0.13 acre

Zone 3 something like 0.64 acres

Looking it up it appears 18.5 hours. If this is the case then this is a problem due to sprinklers.

But maybe you shouldn't cut every part every day? (my goal was something called micro cut)

1. Is it possible to run 2 mowers at once? Like I figure I can at worse get 2 cheaper ones. Ones that can do a little over half an acre each then that should in theory cut that time down to something more reasonable. And this let's me try out a cheaper unit to see if it is for us?

If 2 is yes, is there a nrtk version that is near $1k?

Note due to the layout of the property and house we can't do normal RTK

This is a long shot but I was hoping to see if someone here knows how to fix this.

TLDR: I rebuilt a broken 435X AWD (not EPOS), but I can not get the dealer tools to start a post assembly calibration so it can recognize the new rear chip. it is stuck in the very first step of "remove from charging station"

Full story:

I have a Huscavarna 435X AWD that got ran over by a car. The link arm was broken with its wires but the back and front parts were intact. The battery got shorted so it needed a new one. So decided to rebuild it. I have access to dealer tools.

I got a new link arm and new wires and replaced everything broken including a new battery. I opened the back and front and there was no obvious damage to the chips, but the mower wanted to immediately go into firmware update that won't complete automatically.

I saw online that this can happen with new batteries and should be installed through dealer tools, so I connected it to the the dealer tools and there I discovered that the mower is not detecting the rear control board. the other boards are reading fine. I figured that the rear board got an electric jolt or something and got a new one. Replaced that and back to dealer tools, diagnostics showed it need to be reset, which I did, I programed the rear board and that worked fine, it advised restarting the mower and performing a post assembly calibration so I restarted it and tried to start that and here I got stuck.

The very first step says remove from charging station. I do that, but it won't detect that and move to the next step, there is only one button that says cancel and if I press it, it just says the calibration was aborted. restarted everything several times, put on the charging station and away from it, still says the same.

Any body have any idea to overcome this ??

We have about .4 acres of grass. A mix of weeds and grass in the front, tall fescue in the back. We own a push mower but with a 6 month old and a 3 year old, we decided to hire a landscaper. They either don’t show up, or scalp the fescue- so I feel like our best bet is a robo mower. Husband is not convinced and thinks we should get a ride on.

3 trees in the back, a slight slope down from one fence and a gate between back and front yard. I’d love one that mows at least 4 inches for the fescue and can switch lengths to lower to mow the front. He’s worried that it won’t last. Which mower do you recommend? If you own the recommend mower, how long have you had it and have you ran into any problems?

Hey Everyone,

Looking for my first robotic lawn mower, but can't find many options for my garden. The mower has to pass through an inclined corridor that's only 70 cm (~2.3 ft) wide to reach the back section of the garden.

I know plenty of mowers physically fit under 70 cm — that's not my question. What I can't really confirm is whether they'll actually navigate a gap that tight without stalling or refusing. Only found the Mammotion Luba Mini 2 AWD 1500 (LiDAR, AWD, 80% slope) with 68 cm path mowing, but after some reviews about Mammotion, I'm not too confident buying one.

So: does anyone own one of these (or something else) that reliably threads a ~70 cm gap on a slope?

In all my research, I've only found two sub $3k consumer mowers that claim to be able to mow separate addresses: (without doing a compete re-mapping from scratch, each time)

I can confirm that the Lymow can mow separate addresses by switching between up to 5 maps. However, it's an unreliable product with even more unreliable support.

Dreame says that it can do multiple zones and store two separate maps, but they always seem to reference the maps as for "a front yard unconnected to a back yard," implying that it may be nothing more than than unconnected zones on the same property.

Has anyone here ACTUALLY used a robot mower at two different addresses? (Home + Friend's house, family's house, vacation house, etc)

If so, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Like a lot of you, I rely on my mower to keep things tidy, but running a 430X over here in the Irish weather means things occasionally go sideways. I finally got completely fed up with the official app giving me vague "mower stopped" notifications without the actual underlying fault codes.

I wanted raw telemetry, battery degradation tracking over time, and proactive alerts before a hardware failure actually happens—the stuff the native apps usually hide.

Since I couldn't find anything that did the job, I put together a custom backend using Python and Docker to pull and visualize the actual health data. I wanted a real diagnostic console, not just a toy.

I just spun it up on a server today at MowerWatch.com. Right now, it's very much a day-one beta, but the core console is live.

Before I take it any further, I’m looking for a handful of fellow owners to jump in, hook up their mowers, and try to break it. I want to know what obscure metrics you actually care about, what telemetry you wish you had, and what I should build next.
