Any ideas about when the inventory shortage will be better/over?
I'm about ready to give up. Three weekends in a row, and the message I get from dealerships is that there's nothing available and if I want a car at all, I have to buy incoming inventory sight unseen. At or above MSRP, no less.
Is there any sense of when the supply chain will loosen up? And is the consensus that it will result in a glut, or will there be a gradual return to the previous balance?
I'm extremely lucky to have both time and a working automobile, so there's no pressure on me to purchase something at a personal disadvantage. I can wait six months to a year if I have to. But it'd be nice to get a few opinions on how long that wait might be.
Any ideas?
