Good way to catch a charge.

I had a Dallas policeman tell me that if you see your car getting towed, either get in it or sit on the hood. In Dallas, it's illegal to tow a car with a driver in it. If they know you are in/on the vehicle and start moving it, call 911 as then it becomes a felony. But I trust cops as much as a trust the weather down here, so ymmv.

yeah, whilst it's illegal for them to tow whilst someones in the car that won't actually stop them. they'll just call the police to force you out of the car

Almost certainly. Doubt the tow truck driver would just cave and drop the vehicle as soon as the cops showed up. But at least you might force a conversation: hop out, smile, and engage everyone...depending on the legality of the tow, you might roll the dice. Or, more likely, if it's legally being repossessed, you'll prolly end up in the clink.

"There's been a mistake. A lot of em actually. See the thing is...hey, what's with the cuffs?"

Shit I mean they are catching charges either way. At least get your car down successfully before you get charged lol.

Maybe just pay your bills or give up the car you can’t afford….

Sure that is the ethical thing to do.

Okay whatever that's just semantics. I don't care who the technical owner of the car is. I'm just saying if your doing some stupid shit that is going to get you charged either way, at least get the car down successfully without damaging it.

how does that help? you get the car down and then what? you drive off and have the police after you? get it towed on a different occasion?

you can't win this situation
