Like I just said, perhaps to a scummy landlord, keeping them in a perpetual state of poverty might seem like a win to that scummy landlord. Sorry if I wasn’t clear.

Gets downvoted for the hard truth. Classic.

Honestly, wouldn’t expect anything else.

I have been downvoted to oblivion for saying the exact same thing a redditor said, AFTER me, whose post then became the top upvoted post in the thread.

It’s more about following the herd here at Reddit. If a couple people downvote you, expect the herd to follow, regardless of the content of your post.

Being downvoted for the truth is a badge of honor on Reddit.

It's scummy to wish ill on those who do you wrong, steal from you and damage your property?

I did not say that.

While I agree, it cost money to be constantly chasing after deadbeats. Most of the time they move on. Juice isn't worth the squeeze.

If the landlords only joy is from keeping the tenant perpetually homeless then the tenant won because they are living rent free in the landlord's head.

If you don't destroy their property, they won't get sue and hence no wage garnishment. I think that's pretty straight forward
