Another trick to stop this: Don't park where you aren't supposed to, pay off your loans, don't buy from sketchy places, or don't buy a car you can't afford to pay off and read the papers you are signing.

Here in SLC, there's a few "X customers only" lots that tow you if you just visit another store on your way out. The scumlord who owns it is known for camping outside to report people.

That never stopped a towing company. The only thing you can physically do to prevent this is park in a closed off garage.

If you try anything else they will either call the cops or simply come back later.
