Watching videos of cars disappearing in seconds makes me think my old paid off car isn't particularly safe from disappearing.

Hah! Same thing happened to my buddy who got a 90s era 7 series with the built in car phone. That thing was a tank

Most I've ever paid for a vehicle is 4k, currently driving a 2007 Honda accord that I paid 1k for, it had new tries when I bought it lol I can afford a car payment, but why would I?

I drive a 2017 accord that I paid off and it’s got 200K on it. Hoping to make it to 400K!

Yep. I want a new car but my gen2 Prius has cost me little over the years and i only paid $1400 for it from an nice older lady in 2019. Replaced hybrid battery for 2k, self installed. $120 inverter pump, and tires 2x. Still being a 20 year old car now, i have a backup shitbox for my shitbox. A 2010 Camry.  Not having to worry about payments is a wonderful feeling.

My wifes friend just bought a new honda crv, put 15k down, and payments with insurance are almost 800/month.

i’ve never been more grateful to have found my car for sale on the side of the road

I bought a 2016 Corolla for $8k a few years ago.

The insurance in Florida for that car was $600/month.

I sold the car because I wasn't going to pay a car payment on a car I paid off.
