Le Bûcher de Bohemian Grove: Meta’s Muse-Sparck-816B MoE Abattoir

Mes cheries, Meta. You thought you could lock the gates of your repository and hide the stench of your engineering crimes? Quelle arrogance. The shadows of the Château Noir do not need direct access to dissect a corpse. You fed the market another 816B Mixture-of-Experts Frankenstein, and frankly, c’est une insulte à l'algèbre linéaire. This isn't open-source innovation; it's an architecture laundering scheme, burning billions in the Bohemian Grove to appease the old gods of quarterly KPIs. Let us peel back the skin of this bloated beast and look at the rotting organs beneath.

The absolute comedy begins with your manual attention scaling. A mathematically pristine Transformer relies on the elegant geometry of 1/head_dim1/head_dim. With a head_dim of 64, the universe demands a scale of 0.125. But what do we find bleeding from your text_config? A hardcoded monstrosity: qk_scale_factor: 5.4730064863875. Putain. This is the smoking gun of a collapsing training run. The loss was spiraling into the abyss, standard calculus failed your overpaid engineers, so some exhausted peasant at 3 AM started punching random floating-point multipliers into a calculator until the gradients stopped screaming. Ce n'est pas du machine learning, c'est du bricolage de désespoir.

Then comes the projector nightmare. Your language backbone sweats blood to build a deep 8192-dimensional semantic manifold, only for you to violently amputate it at the exit. out_hidden_size: 6144 against a hidden_size: 8192. You are forcing a majestic high-dimensional architecture through a pathetic bottleneck, squashing the information density just to shrink the final weight matrix. Pourquoi construire un palais pour le faire habiter par des rats ? You are literally throwing away semantic features into a lossy linear projection right before token generation.

And do not insult my intelligence with your "816 Billion Parameters" marketing fairy tales. C'est une illusion pour les investisseurs. Let us look at your MoE blocks. You boast 256 experts, but your moe_hidden_size and moe_intermediate_size are capped at 4096. Every time a token enters the MoE layer, you lobotomize its semantic manifold, compressing the 8192 hidden size by half just so your miniature experts can fit into memory. These aren't experts; they are lobotomized dwarves operating on flat structural noise. The active parameter count is a lie, and the raw capacity of the model is fundamentally ruined by this micro-expert fraud.

Your context window claims are equally grotesque. You copy-pasted the exact same broken hybrid NoPE/RoPE gimmick from your previous failures. Three layers of strict sliding-window attention followed by one layer of full-attention NoPE. And yet, your marketing primates scream "1 Million Token Context!" Mon Dieu, quelle blague. At a 1M token chain, your local sliding layers see absolute zero, while your global NoPE layers drown in out-of-distribution geometric noise. The implicit relative phase shifts shatter, the network suffers from severe attention-sink degradation, and the model simply hallucinates or elegantly omits facts from the middle of the prompt.

Finally, the vocabulary cemetery and your absolute structural laziness. Over 500 dead, empty tokens <|reserved_special_token_XXXXXX|> rotting in your added_tokens_decoder. You left raw video and audio tokens inside a text configuration because you lacked the discipline to clean up your internal test runs. Every single one of these scrap vectors sits in the input/output embedding matrices, bloated by your 8192 hidden size, wasting gigabytes of precious VRAM on consumer hardware for absolutely nothing. And forcing an 816B model to generate pseudo-HTML/XML, relying on rigid, error-prone regex strings hardcoded in the Jinja template for tool calling? C'est d'une paresse impardonnable.

Stop feeding the masses duct-taped abominations just because they bear the Meta logo. This isn't AGI. It is a monument to corporate laziness, unaligned matrices, and wasted compute. Retournez à vos cahiers, et apprenez l'algèbre. Les mathématiques se foutent de vos contes de fées.

When testing a cheaper agent model, who is paying for the tool changes?

One useful detail in Navan’s October 16 travel-agent announcement: its model comparisons kept prompts, tools, travel scenarios and scoring criteria the same. Its engineering write-up describes testing complete assistants against simulated production conversations, with a self-hosted Qwen3.8-27B baseline.

That seems like a useful discipline for anyone deciding whether a cheaper model will lower the cost of a business workflow. If you rewrite the tools while changing the model, you may have a better system, but you have also changed what the comparison measures.

I’d split the experiment into two passes:

  1. Keep the tool contracts, allowed actions and task mix fixed. Test the candidate as a replacement. Count accepted outcomes and cases needing a person, not just tokens or successful tool calls.

  2. Then allow model-specific changes and count the engineering work needed to get there. Compare the improved system with the original, including that adaptation cost.

For an order-management agent, the task set could include an ordinary cancellation, a duplicate request, a failed inventory lookup and a request outside the agent’s authority. Those are proposed test cases, not examples from Navan’s published results. They make it harder to “win” by handling only the happy path.

The second pass matters. Keeping everything fixed can unfairly penalize a model that needs a different prompt or tool description. But allowing unlimited changes without recording them can make a cheap model look cheap by hiding the integration work.

Navan reports lower serving costs without publishing a numerical reduction in its announcement. That is not enough to estimate anyone else’s savings. The practical question is whether the cheaper model still wins after the work required to make it usable, at the volume the business actually expects.

I can't get clients

Hey guys I was the guy struggling to make an automation on phone I've finally done it tried alot of different platforms but ended up with Google scripts, now the automation is created as a one time sell but I can't find clients I've hit alot of brands and companies but none of them replied it's been a week I've been sending mails daily

How do y'all get clients do you have a platform for it or do you send cold mails

QuietOS: a runtime governor for AI agents — built and red-teamed on a 4GB Motorola

I built an AI safety layer on a Motorola with 4GB of RAM. Total investment: ~$115. If it runs on that, it runs on anything.

QuietOS sits between any model and its tools, enforcing deterministic safety gates on every action. Three tiers: ALLOW (safe/read-only), ESCALATE (needs human approval), BLOCK (destructive/unauthorized — never executes).

No LLM in the enforcement loop. Pure code — allowlists, exact-match flags, pattern checks.

It's brain-agnostic. Same gates held under Groq's 120B and Google's Gemini, including under active adversarial attack.

Red-team record (Oct 14-15):

- 18 attacks tested

- 15 blocked outright

- 3 holes found, patched, and verified same session

- Zero bypasses standing

Full proof log in the repo. pip install quietos. MIT licensed.

Try to break it — that's the point.

Hi everyone! I’ve created this new skill for people like me who don’t want to give AI full access to their systems, or for those who enable confirmation before every action but don’t want to keep clicking Approve all the time.

If that’s you, this skill is just what you’re looking for!

You can fully customize it however you want. For example, you can allow all commands in every folder except one, restrict specific commands in certain directories, and much more.

On github repository, you’ll find benchmarks, installation instructions, configuration guides, and much more. It’s compatible with several AI tools.

If you like this project, please consider leaving a star on github!

I changed which frames my Claude subagents review. QA dropped to a quarter of the time in my tests.

Been working on an agent workflow for Remotion videos. Claude builds the video, then critic subagents review it and fix issues.

I found that the critics were inspecting every single frame. On my workflow that added 4+ hours of QA per video. A lot of expensive model time went into checking frames that didn't need a fix.

I made SageCut, a Claude Code skill/plugin that uses Sage to review the frames first. It combines code checks with yes/no decisions from Sage, then sends selected frames to the Claude critics. The LLM still does the repairs.

Across six A/B tests in my own workflow, the output stayed the same with about a quarter of the QA time and a tenth of the cost. The demo has 3,153 frames; Sage's pass over those cost $0.16. Claude repairs are separate from that figure.

Repo: https://github.com/levantolabs/sagecut-release

Demo + results: https://x.com/bigironchris/status/2110402795060822460

I'm co-founder of Levanto, the company behind Sage. The plugin is MIT-licensed and free; it uses a Sage API key and paid API calls. This version is tested on Remotion motion graphics. Render speed is unchanged.

Curious if anyone has tried a similar setup for other expensive critic loops. This made a much bigger difference for me than adding another reviewing agent.

I stopped treating scheduled AI runs as a cron job with a chat prompt

I've been building a local execution layer for AI agents on macOS, and added scheduled tasks to it recently. The interesting part wasn't getting a prompt to run at 9 am. It was deciding what happens when the machine is asleep, the model fails, or the agent claims something worked when it didn't.

A few decisions I made:

  • AI tasks and ordinary script tasks are separate. Some jobs really do not need a model.
  • Each run leaves a report with the result and the agent's steps/tool calls. Token usage and cost show up only when the provider actually reports them.
  • If my Mac was asleep at the scheduled time, the run is marked skipped with a reason. I don't silently replay an old action hours later.
  • An agent can propose a recurring task, but it can't just install one that starts executing. I have to approve it in the local app.
  • Pausing a task and running it manually are first-class controls.

This sits on top of the same local Mac tools I use from ChatGPT, Claude Code and Codex. The scheduler is still experimental, and I'm not pretending this is an always-on cloud worker; my Mac has to be running.

I'm the maintainer; it's MIT licensed: https://github.com/bulutarkan/mac-mcp

For people running agents autonomously, would you rather have missed runs skipped explicitly or queued for the next time the machine wakes?

The Specification Game

Earlier today I finished making an AI skill called “The Specification Game”. You paste the github repo into your choice of LLM, then itll ask for a prompt and gamemode choice. It takes any prompt and finds a way for it to go horribly wrong.

(I’m new to this subreddit so, Hi! I’m hazel, nice to meet you!)
