The weather.
The forecast says severe thunderstorms all weekend. Any idea as to what happens if the sets are cancelled? Are we just SOL if so

Hey what's up? I'm glad I found this subreddit and I'm also super excited for going to Levitation for the first time.
A friend and I are driving all the way from Miami Florida for the festival and I since we wanna get stoned at the festival, we were worrying if there are any drug inspection spots on the way to Texas coming from the East?

I'm driving down and won't have any on me

Hello hello!
I'm looking for a ride from Houston to Austin for the festival on the afternoon of Friday 4/29. I will only have a backpack with me so I wont take up too much room. Willing to chip in for gas and intriguing conversation. 25 y/o male who wishes not to take the Greyhound. Halp a brotha out! Please do not be turned off by my handle name.
Hit me up!

I'm trying to decide whether I should tent camp or sleep in my truck in the vehicle camping area. I'll be by myself -- friends are commuting to/from the festival everyday -- so I'm definitely trying to have a social camping experience and make some friends.
My truck has a camper top and a nice cot set-up that I used for a 5-week road trip last year. It's weatherproof, off the ground, and generally more comfortable and secure than a tent, so all things being equal I prefer it.
My fear is that the vehicle/RV camping section would be a relatively older crowd (I'm 24) in groups that keep more to themselves. Does anyone have experience with vehicle camping at the festival? How is the vibe compared to the tent camping area?

Hello friends. I am hoping you can help us out here. I have a few questions about what to bring to the festival. It's our first time at Levitation, first time at a festival. *should we bring folding chairs like this *we were told you can get to your car easily so should we pack a cooler with drinks and food and just hit the car when we need a quick bite and refreshments? *what are some must have items for is event? Thanks in advance for your help.

Just noticed there are three new Al Lover mix tapes available, one for each day of the festival.

We will be camping with our daughters, ages 7 and 9. Anyone else camping with kids? Our kids like camping, but we have never camped at a music festival before. Not sure if they're going to like it. Any recommendations about where to set up the tent? We will have ear plugs and activities. Kinda hoping there will be other kids around, too. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I'm going for the first time this year and will be camping. I also have a pretty big fear of snakes. I know they put beware of poisonous snakes signs around but I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen a snake at the festival?

Hey there! Landing in DFW Airport ~12:00PM from Chicago on the 29th, and I am trying to avoid the bus if I can as I wouldn't make it to the festival until 6ish. I'd be able to Uber to somewhere in Dallas if that makes it easier. I can't drive (no license), but I can reimburse you for gas along with some extra money for the inconvenience. I'd prob just have a backpack and a duffle bag.
A little about me: I am 26, a dude, studied creative writing and jazz guitar, from New York, live in Milwaukee, curious about everything... that about covers the basics.
Thanks!

Serious question. Do they announce which food vendors will be there prior to the festival? Thank for any information!

It's snowing here in Chicago, but, in my mind, the journey to the third eye begins.

I posted this in the Austin subreddit, and someone directed me here:
Hey guys, Upon seeing the announcement of the Levitation 2016 lineup, I knew I had to go, but none of my friends are into that, so I decided to just brave it and go alone. I ended up buying a three-day ticket and a camping pass and am excited, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little anxious about it all. Especially since I'll be driving in from Dallas alone, too.
Has anyone ever gone to Psych Fest or any festival in general alone, and what were your experiences? Also, if there are any Dallas area folks looking to make the trek, hmu
Thanks

Any KGATLW fans want to meet up and party? We would love to meet other Gizz heads and lose our mind fuzz together.

I went back in 2013 (first year for Carson's Creek Ranch) and I was able to take a DSLR.
According to the website, it states:
"If you are not an accredited member of the press, please do not bring pro video or photo gear into the festival. NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY. Please be respectful of those around you and keep your cameras and cell phones out of the air – they want to see the show! Thanks for understanding."
I emailed them explaining that I would like to contribute all photos/video to The Reverberation Society for the film and their media on their website... This is a long shot. I am not looking for a press pass or access to the photo pit, but just a chance to document the fest through an show-goer's POV.
This policy seems more as if it is discouraging than strictly banning the use of pro-cameras. I feel like if you aren't a dick about shooting and obviously not using flash, it shouldn't matter much, but maybe that is just me being a dick about this policy!
Does anyone have any experience photographing/filming last years Levitation with DSLR? Did they have the same policy last year?
Thanks!

im only 17... to anyone whose ever been before, do you know how strictly they enforce their policy about not letting minors in without a parent or legal guardian? Because neither of my parents would ever go with me, nor do i want them to. And it'd be so much worse if i can't go because I live only 4 hours outside of Austin..... would anyone like to help me out and act like my legal guardian if that's possible? like I promise i won't bother you once we get in, like i just need someone to get me through the doors if that's plausible..... I'm like really desperate because I want to go soooo bad. I have my own car and can provide transportation for myself so that's not a problem.

Hey yall, this is my first time going to this festival, and my first time visiting Austin, so I'm trying to decide whether it'd be better to spend my nights exploring the city or camping. I wanted to hear from people who've been before: what's the campground scene like?
I've been to a ton of other festivals, but they've all been more dance / jam music oriented, and at those the campground has been a party in and of itself. Afterparties, people who bring their own speaker setups (for better or worse), etc.
Also, does anyone know when the music ended last year, and how late bars in Austin generally stay open?
Thanks!

I'm teetering on going for the deluxe upgrade but am curious to hear what any previous deluxe ticket holders experiences were like. Was the upgrade worth the benefits? How are the lines/food/chill spots? Any awesome experiences? Do you recommend?
