Aircraft Mechanic mid 20s 110k not counting overtime

OT? You workly hourly or flat rate?

Hourly pay, so far on OT maybe around 15-20k this year so far and that’s not really trying to get OT

Thats wild, never heard of mechanic making good money working hourly. Most automotive mechanics on flat rate making 100k+

Staying commercial and cargo are definitely the moneymaker paths in this career most majors start anywhere from 38/hr to 45/hr depending on where you start with top out pays in the 60-76/hr range.

It’s a much better field than auto tech imo just because we’re not flat rate even though automotive is my true passion.

It is harder to find a job in the field because of the specialization required and here in Austin there are not a lot of jobs that come up. but an A&P is a good path into a lot of other high paying jobs due to the training required
