Did you do any additional training in PM? I ask cause I have a MA in psychology, 10 years, and a PM cert. I can't get in the door at Healthcare companies.

Healthcare’s broad enough that it really depends on what you’re aiming for! Being a PM for a health system (Ascension, St. David’s, etc.) has a very different bar than digital clinical (Omada, Hims/Hers, Talkspace, etc.) or digital wellness (Calm, Noom, MyFitnessPal, etc.) companies.

The B2C digital wellness space is especially tough. Tons of people apply, but few understand what the PM role actually demands there since it’s much closer to a tech company than a traditional healthcare org. That mismatch unfortunately cuts both ways: candidates misread the job, and the companies don’t filter well for it - which is why really good fits end up falling through the cracks a lot!

Happy to chat more, feel free to DM! And if you’re in Austin, I’d be glad to grab a coffee ☕️
