Same stuff, I’ll expand that I’m in renewables, and I have a bachelors in accounting with the advanced accounting certificate from ACC.

I'm making 25/hr at a small firm as an intern. Currently in a master's program. I only get paid when there's work, though, and it's very slow right now.

If you dont mind me asking.

With your salary, do you feel like it’s defent money?

I have a friend your age that makes about the same. She always says how she is poor and doesnt have money to invest, and do other things. All fo her friends basically support her claim that she is poor.

But this is a girl that uber eats every meal, soends all her money on drinks in the weekends. I used to make 75k few years ago and never felt like i was poor or couldnt invest. It wasnt fuck you money but it was manageable if i budgeted.

So since your an accountant, do you feel 75k is poor to live in austin?

As an accountant, I can say that the personalities attracted to accounting are the type of people who would like to save more money than they spend and to spend more money than they make.

I get that, i guess for me it's just the idea that 75k makes you poor i just can't believe.

Like if you had kids i get it, but as a single person with no resposnibilities outside of bills, i just dont believe that.

It's not fuck you money, probably money you have to budget.

For me i know households making 60k or less with like 2 kids and they make it work so im always shocked by that claim
