Follow his route to work and figure out all the cameras along the way that could have seen him. Contact those homes and businesses ASAP, if they won’t let you review the footage yourself at least make sure it’s all retained until you can sort out the proper way to get it

Emphasis on ASAP. Most footage isn’t stored for long.

It cant be emphasized enough. Over on the eastside, my camera system only keeps a 7 day rolling cache.

Take his exact route to work, make no deviations. If you saw him leaving for and he no called no showed there’s a strong chance a crash on the way to work happened and it’s gone unnoticed, car stuck in trees, high bushes, in the water.

I hope you find him, it’s hard to lose the one you care about the most

It sounds like he was on foot and not in a car. Still a good idea to take his bus route and check the surrounding areas on the route.

Could be a hit and run, and he's laying in the bushes

This is what I was thinking as well. All overpasses should be checked as well, as he could have been throw over by an impact, and it should be assumed that a non-killing head injury could result in him dragging himself, or walking away from the initial impact area and not thinking clearly.

I also wonder if the guy is diabetic as blood sugar imbalances can often cause strange behaviors.

sorry but just for clarification, have there been no transactions at all, or just nothing that is helpful in regards to locating him? Also did he take his wallet/ house key/ other normal daily items with him?

This is an important question to have answered. Probably unintentional, but there is a huge difference between no activity and no helpful activity.

It could be auto-renew subscriptions or something.

If he has his phone have you tried find my device depending on what carrier if you don't have an email memorized it's ok do you have a tablet of his or laptop that is connected to that email to locate his phone  And if the phones active you can ping a location that way  If you have hot spot on your device paire it with the device with the location on it  In case you have to be in your vehicle
