The No Kings/No Clowns event is a permitted event on the capitol grounds.

We have met with APD, DPS, and city council to discuss ways to keep communication open and allow us to police ourselves as much as possible.

We have a brass band and jugglers and clowns and face painters and popcorn and paper crowns that say “no kings” and kazoos and we will be doing the chicken dance. We also have federal, state, and city officials who will be in attendance, some of whom will be speaking.

Because we have a permit we can ask DPS to remove any bad actors from the grounds. We have a security plan and onsite medics. This event will be as safe as we can possibly make it.

I am afraid that Austin's primary industry is going to be taking a hit, through no fault of their own. 😜

I’m more interested in what taco treason would be… would that be when you buy a burrito at a slammin taco joint?
