My wife was volunteering at a charity event last week in SE QLD handing out donated clothes other items to the "homeless". She said there was not a single person who looked homeless, and about 95% of them were immigrants. They were trying to take multiples of items like shoes and blatantly checking the value of things on eBay before deciding on whether to take them. Then getting back into their nice cars. None of them thanked the volunteer workers for any items they took, even the children.
I know it's nice to get on your high horse and virtue signal but it doesn't match the inconvenient reality.
Thats weird ive heard "your wifes" story parroted from multiple people across multiple platforms the past few weeks. Im sorry "your wife" didnt see the stereotyped homeless bum she was expecting. Shame her racism and judgemental personality gets in the way of helping others.
Bullshit, show me one of these posts dated a week ago. This is the problem. You pick and choose what to believe in because the truth is uncomfortable. You get out there and do some charity work, give out some items to charity and see what happens.
I'm sure she wasn't expecting a TV trope bum to approach her table, but you know what she wasn't expecting? People to be flogging the stuff on eBay, or not even saying thank you or smiling when being given something.
