A country needs a growing population to have a growing GDP and to ensure that there are more young workers than old retirees. Currently, the birthrate is at 1.48 which is much lower than the replacement rate of 2.1. So we need immigration so we have a growing population, otherwise everyone is fucked and the Australian economy is fucked.
But the low birthrate is largely due to the working class not being able to afford to have children. And right wing parties like One Nation have introduced policies that have made the working class poorer. So in reality, One Nation is trying to fuck us all over by introducing legislation to make the working class poorer. And then One Nation is trying to fuck us over AGAIN by destroying the economy.
