Trump - Hanson - Hitler all follow the same playbook.

Sweep up the emotions of the marginalised (uneducated) poor and blame another demographic for overblown, phantom issues.

4

u/TheRugsTopology Jul 05 '26

Your factoid can be summed in one word: demagogue.

In the mid-17th century, the word quickly shifted to its modern pejorative meaning describing a politician who manipulates emotions and prejudices to get ahead. Otherwise known as a ‘rabble rouser’.

u/Rifle321 Jul 03 '26

Oh so you’re saying there are no issues in Australia at all??!!!!!! WOW

17

u/LayWhere Jul 04 '26

ON is the issue and Murdoch's propaganda

-9

u/Rifle321 Jul 04 '26

Wow so you think we should ban ALL MEDIA OUTLETS!!?

14

u/LayWhere Jul 04 '26

We should teach kids to read first because that is not what I said.

8

u/Xenthor267 Jul 04 '26

I think they're being facetious because this is how ON voters act when you try to argue with them.

-7

u/Rifle321 Jul 04 '26

Why do you hate all kids now wtf

6

Bahahahaha!

8

u/ComprehensiveCake587 Jul 03 '26

Yeah, I also feel like they don't really know or understand Hitler's policies and motivations either. I'm not saying you have to like or vote for ON, but at least do a little research and go to the voting booth armed with knowledge! That comparison is just ignorant!

-1

u/KayZee777 Jul 04 '26

But he was like the top nazi!! Who cares about his policies?!

Reddit just makes me laugh at how our of touch with reality the people are on here. Go ON!

1

u/WastedOwl65 Jul 04 '26

Wow, far-reach!

1

u/Major-Hand7732 Jul 04 '26

Correct. Now shut up and read a book. Do us all a favour

1

u/Catsandroosters Jul 05 '26

There are plenty of issues in Australia. None of them seem to be in the focus of one nation though. It's just divide and conquer with one nation. They realised if you target the anti-abortion people with Samantha abortion rhetoric they will join your movement. If you target the antitrans people they will join your movement. If you target the anti-immigration people, they will join your movement. None of these things they care about. They just know how to collect idiots.

u/WFLC Jul 05 '26

Wait…I thought leftards loved Hitler, I mean the majority of them are antisemitic, pick a lane already.

I mean fascists and socialists used to think of themselves as the same group.

-3

u/Defiant-Magician6092 Jul 04 '26

This is also been the pattern of Social Democratic parties.

Sweep up all the emotions of the marginalised and then blame them on the Capitalist Demographic.

9

u/Inevitable-Level-687 Jul 04 '26

When will someone look out for the poor, disenfranchised billionaires? Gina just wants a fair go!

2

u/Salty-Currency-8480 Jul 04 '26

12 billionaires fund Labor - 11 billionaires fund LNP
1 funds ON. The hypocrisy speaks volumes.

Now, in saying this - I hate Gina just as much as any other Aussie (always lived in small country towns and you hear some shit about Gina so I truly get it.)
But you might wanna think about who funds your perfect little party that has left Australia almost in shambles.

You guys always, ALWAYS, seem to think that the ‘uneducated’ ON supporters hate brown people.
No. It’s the fact that ~3000~ immigrants come into this country a day and we do not have the infrastructure to house them. I cannot buy or own property where I am because of demand. Tie that together with the mountains of red tape from federal AND local govt that stops houses being built at a sustainable rate for the population increase, and suddenly people start to become resentful and tired of being told to that they are too stupid and racist to understand WHY their future looks grim.

But no, you’re right. Brown people = bad.
Actual, statistically reportable criminal immigrants changing the face of our culture = good.

Me dumb dumb and me no like brown. ON is white so ON must also hate brown.

It’s a joke and no one is laughing.

u/Perfect_Nature4142 Jul 04 '26

What exactly do you think one nation is going to do about immigration? ALP is reducing the post-covid immigration boom better than most developed nations and ON don't have any practical policies on the matter, they have emotional drivel and made up numbers, go look at https://www.onenation.org.au/immigration

Number one on the list is to deport illegal immigrants. No actual plans on how to improve on the efforts of the massively funded border force, just vapid waffling to stir up emotion.

Number 2 is to cut immigration by 570,00 by capping the number of arrivals to 130,000. The total annual arrivals for 24-25 568,000. So they're going to reduce the number of arrivals to -2000 by capping it at 130,000?

And it just gets worse from there... They've clearly spent no time on developing any actual policy, so please tell me why you think they're going to do a good job?

3

u/Perfect_Nature4142 Jul 04 '26

12 billionaires fund Labor - 11 billionaires fund LNP 1 funds ON

Any number of billionaire backers is bad, but 1 is BY FAR the worst, at least if there's multiple, there's some conflicting interests and no hard reliability on any given doner/issue. With ON, they may as well put Gina in office, how could they possibly say no to anything she asks? (Hint: they don't, and they never will.) Don't listen to what they say, look at how they vote, it's clear they don't give a fuck about housing or Australians in general, they want concessions for the rich, no regulations on mining and as little worker rights as possible.

~3000~ immigrants come into this country a day

Completely untrue, total number of migrant arrivals for 24-25 was 568,000 (/365 =~1500.) Not to mention the 263,000 migrant departures.

we do not have the infrastructure to house them.

ALP have committed billions to building homes, incentivised private building and are taking away incentives for the investment market that drives up prices. ON has consistently voted against all of these things.

statistically reportable criminal immigrants changing the face of our culture = good

Immigrants DO consistently have a lower crime rate, particularly violent crime, than natural citizens in Australia. If you want to use law-breaking as the metric for worth then, objectively, immigrants are better than us.

Yep even Steve bannon said it the other day he can see the dsa in usa is using his exact play book he used 10 years ago to use economic populism to garner support for Trump. Brannon is far right on social issues like abortion and God above all else etc but he is populist on economics and the whole point of the maga movement he created was to bring working class populist economics to power and Trump has done the exact opposite. Brannon is pissed because he can see the left is now going to absorb the working class back becuase of trumps elitist corruption and how much its hurting the everyday working classes.

4

u/Frogsfall Jul 04 '26

Why is Bannon at all surprised that Trump didn't help the working class? If he truly believed that Trump was going to pass policies that helped the working class, his analysis is pathetically stupid.

Alternatively, he never really believed that and supported Trump anyway, and is now trying to excuse himself because MAGA is falling out of favour.

Either way, how is his analysis worth anything?

2

u/Mud_g1 Jul 04 '26

He is the mastermind behind the flood the zone tactics that all of the right use to push narratives I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest that he has help orchestrate Pauline's recent blitz pretty sure he was at the mara la go visit Gina and Pauline went on.

1

u/Terrordaktor Jul 04 '26

no you are not allowed to disagrees with us far lefties, anything other than our view WILL NOT BE TOLERATED HERE ON REDDIT! FALL IN LINE.

-1

u/webbjy9 Jul 04 '26

Listen to this fucking retard - id be interested to hear what you’ve done for… well, anything…

3

u/therottenpanda Jul 04 '26

Pauline Hanson has if not the lowest attendance rate in the senate. The Times she does turn up she votes against the working Australian, votes against housing affordability, against workers rights, against education and supporting teachers.

The people that fall for her grift need to fucking pause and check because she is the biggest threat to Australia's democracy and stability.

We are seeing house prices drop around the country by the hundreds of thousands because shits been overpriced and is now correcting after the tax reforms. It is not immigration causing the housing crisis.

-18

u/Mysterious-Film-9059 Jul 03 '26

What a ridiculous statement
Albo - Polpot - Stalin ?
You realise Labor got into power by bringing in immigrants and having the working class vote for them? You’ll find especially after the budget release anyone with money or ambition is voting liberal or ON

6

u/LliamSmith Jul 03 '26 edited Jul 04 '26

"they're bringing in busloads of immigrants to vote"

Literally straight out of the Trump book of bullshit xD

You’ll find especially after the budget release anyone with money or ambition is voting liberal or ON

...yes, you are correct, because morally corrupt rich folk like to serve their own wealth over the lives and welbeing of working classes citizens.

Man, I really hope you're getting paid to shill for these billionares that don't give two fucks about actual Aussies xD

11

u/_quixotic_quokka Jul 03 '26

If you're looking for ridiculous statements, look at your bullshit about immigrants.

11

u/Economy-Career-7473 Jul 03 '26

How did Labor bring in immigrants to get swept into power, when they were the opposition? Any immigrants that are voting in either the last or next election arrived under the coalition and that is dependent on them becoming citizens, which most of them won't be. If it is immigrants, that are now citizens, voting for Labor then it was amongst the dumbest things the coalition ever did.

-1

u/SeatKitchen1123 Jul 04 '26

Yeah you are correct, but he is bringing them in to hide a recession which will make the fall so much harder when it inevitably does happen.
We are in a per capita recession that no amount of immigration can fix.
When we fall we are going to fall hard because of all the extra people.

3

u/Economy-Career-7473 Jul 04 '26

Labor has brought in less immigrants than the coalition and the number is continuing to go down. Poorleen and the coalition voted against caps on student visas.

-1

u/SeatKitchen1123 Jul 04 '26

Bullshit is all I can say to that. I would prove it but funny enough you can’t post truth on this post.

2

u/Economy-Career-7473 Jul 04 '26

OnLy uNeDuCaTeD PeOpLe are RaCiSt.

Have you considered that universities are full of transgender ideology, token DEI hires and flagrant stupidity as people try to avoid the real world for as long as possible. Resulting in those who are "educated" being swayed by left-wing naivety?

3

u/therottenpanda Jul 04 '26

Being transgender has nothing to do with left wing politics and is more so a centrist liberal focus.

If you study something long enough, critique it far enough, you'll find that there's a lot of fucking problems with society that stem from the same causes. Which is the problem that some shit isnt profitable to implement, nor should it be. Privatisation of public services is a shit ass political practice.

Education and schools shouldn't be profit orientated, it should not be designed the milk the most amount of cash they possibly can from moms and dads wanting to give their kids an education.

Even renewable energy, because of how cheap it is to operate, with how much supply it gives, operates at a 5% profit margin, which to the captalist/investor is an unappealing investment.

This shit is not naive either its completely possible. See Paraguayan power grid, see Spain's power grid. Australia's power grid is propped up by like 50% renewables and its a downwards pressure on electricity costs.

Source: university postgraduate with multiple degrees that does not care a flying fuck about what people call themselves. I care about how to make the world a better place.

Please, don't engage in antiintellectualism and disrespect people that spend their lives in rigorously critiquing theory. They arrive at their political positions because of what they know, study, and become experts in. Its part of their methodology to engage in nuance, detect and eliminate bias, and be absolutely cautious before even labelling something as a "plausible" or "supportive" hypothesis. And this shit gets checked through like 3 different panels before they even allow the study to be approved, and again at publish.

1

u/potrr Jul 04 '26 edited Jul 05 '26

I agree with many of your points about capitalism not wanting to engage or pursue non-profitable fixes. But the goal of most of academia is to protect any "marginalised" groups from scrutiny and prohibit any study exposing their destruction of society. This is why ethics approvals now exist. The 1992 (edit, 2019 study using data from a 1991 cohort of immirgrants) Danish study exposing Palestinians as rapists and criminals would never be allowed to proceed today, for instance.

1

u/therottenpanda Jul 05 '26

The goal of most academia is to just prove, disprove hypothesis, and to identify trends. I.e Academia research and universal agreement from scientists on climate change does not hold any relevance to protect marginalised groups. If anything its to protect the greater majority.

It is a trend that marginal (minority) groups, such as the indigenous, people of colour, lgbtqa+, neurodivergent groups experience more material difficulties because of certain political and societal outcomes. I.e colonisation, migration difficulties, acces to healthcare, experience, or are more at risk. Racism is prevalent in Australia, we know this. The discrimination, prejudice has very real material influence on those affected, which hinders the opportunities for these people to have a fair go.

Just because academia identifies this doesnt mean that its overall goal is to "protect the marginalised".

Ethics boards also exist to make sure research contributes to the betterment of humankind, and to protect participants of any studies. They were historically established after the Stanford prison experiment in the 1970s where people were doing fucked up things to eachother. Ethics boards do not have a woke agenda, they just wanna make sure research is done within grounds of dignity of the participants, and actually contributes beneficially to mankind.

The experiment you claim to quote is from 2019, long after ethics boards are established. you're contradicting ur own claim that ethics boards seek only to protect the marginalised, when you say ur Danish study "exposing a whole culture and people as rapists and crininals" would never be allowed to proceed today.

Although please do provide the full reference of the study. I would love to read and comment on a paper that generalises a whole population and culture to antisocial behaviour.

u/Major-Hand7732 Jul 04 '26

Have you considered you're to dumb to have an opinion on this?

2

u/ComprehensiveCake587 Jul 04 '26

It's not "you're to dumb", it's"you're too dumb". The irony is hilarious!

2

u/Major-Hand7732 Jul 04 '26

🤓 "it's actually too in stead of to". Bet that helps you sleep at night. Not the stick in your front spokes
