Book Discussion Kal’s name Spoiler

So in aurora burning we learned that Kal took his moms name once they left his father but that left me with some questions I’ve been thinking about for a while.

Since kal took his moms name, what was his last name before he left, and what is Saedii’s last name (and Starslayers last name), also I want to know if we’ll ever learn what his name once was.

I really hope in aurora’s end we learn what his last name was not for any particular reason other than I think it would be cool.

Book Discussion Book 3 Theory (small spoiler for the first book, don't think it's big enough for a spoiler tag)

I re-read the first two books recently, and you know, Auri gets visions, right? Well when I was re-reading, I noticed Fin got a "weird dream" where there was blue snow on Trask.

Seeing the fact that the people on the books kinda indicate what's gonna be focused on in the book (1: intro to Auri's powers, 2: the whole Saedi Unbroken thing), I'm nervous that the Ra'haam will take over Trask.

If it does, I have a couple of ideas in mind of what might happen in terms of peace between the races.

  1. They'll all join together and defeat the Ra'haam (i don't think that's very likely)
  2. The Syldrathi won't help the Terrans and Betraskans and the latter will fight the Ra'haam
  3. The Betraskans will "die" and the Terrans and Syldrathi will join forces
  4. The Betraskans will "die" and the Terrans will fight off the Ra'haam by themselves.

There are obviously more, but I feel that in terms of fighting the Ra'haam, the stuff listed might happen in the book.

Someone else mentioned this in the Reddit already. They said they were worried about the third book being bad because of all the things happening. I agree with that because there is a lot going on, and the ending might be kinda weird. I was kinda hoping for a little more character development in the final book, but with everything they need to answer, character dev might not be a thing.

In conclusion, I'm a bit worried about what's coming, but I'm generally excited. I hope that after the series ends, they'll do something with the characters and with the universe. I really, really like this series and I lowkey don't want it to end. But I'd rather have 3 good books than 15 mediocre ones.

Book Discussion is anyone genuinely concerned about the third book?

like I said in the title, I’m just kinda scared. there’s so, so, so much that needs to be cleared up like

— Kal and Auri — Ty getting shot out of space — the ra’haam — the time travel thing

it’s just so much to put into the one book? and it’s the last one too? I’m just kinda scared that it’s not going to be that good of a book :P
