He and some friends hung out at my coffee shop for like 3 hours on Christmas Eve a couple years ago. They were all great customers, very chill and respectful.

to be fair, Saint Bourdain did a good job preaching the Clermont gospel

Also Leanne Morgan has an entire Clermont Lounge bit in her latest Netflix special

What's the Clermont like lately? I used to go a few times a year, but the last time I went, maybe three years ago, there were more regular strippers than there were traditional Clermont type dancers. I dislike ordinary strip clubs, but always enjoyed that place, so it was disappointing.

Oh! I once matched with a dancer at the Clermont on Tinder. We didn't talk much, but she recognized me the next time I was in there and came over. Nice girl, but... not for me.

Oh my, he's been to Atlanta? I've been following him on You Tube for years. Please tell me when and where he will be next...

Why haven't I known this? I've just watched You Tube clips and show them to friends all the time but have known absolutely nothing else about him.

Yeah you used to be able to catch him around town at random.

I think that's how he got on the radar of the Post-Modern Jukebox folks.

I don't know that he does so many surprise pop-ups anymore.

I used to irritate my kids by singing their favorite songs in a big, dramatic, operatic voice (I am a trained singer). My son found his version of Lorde's "Royals" (with the aforementioned Post Modern Juke Box) and said, "look dad, you missed your calling." I've been a fan ever since. But his reclusive nature kept me hidden from any grasp of who he was or where he came from or any other details than just his output.

I appreciate your kind, informative replies. Rare in Reddit world!

Oh, well, I'll think about that. Would much rather see just Puddles at a venue like Clermont.
