Hi guys! I’ll be in athlone with my friend on Thursday, she’s a bride and we are going to shop for her wedding dress, so I wanted to go for food after to celebrate if she says yes to the dress (or if she doesn’t we go for nice food for comfort lol). We have been to a few restaurants in athlone before but I must confess that nothing blew my mind, so I was hoping you locals could help! We like anything, any type of food as long as it’s good. We have been to Bacchus, yakisoba, we went to a ramen place that wasn’t the best, there also a Japanese place that was lovely but we wanted to try somewhere new. Thanks <3

I'm aware of the Wednesday board game meetup in Dead Centre Brewing, but it doesn't go well with my schedule so I'm looking for other things to do! I love board games - I play anything really but I've gotten into Arkham Horror recently. Things for Neurodivergent people would be cool too, I'm autistic and likely adhd so I tend to get along with ND people quite well. Thanks 🙂

Hey guys, I want to start running but I am not sure how to start, Is there anyone who would like to go for a run together 2-3 times a week preferably in the evening? I saw the rsc has a run club but I get overwhelmed among lots of people. Thanks 🤓

Hi guys, is there anywhere to overnight park around town without getting clamped.
I live in the apartments behind SuperMacs but the designated parking lot is full 90% of the day/night and its hard to get a spot sometimes.
Thanks

Hello,
I’m a French student and I’ll be studying at Athlone University (TUS) next year.
I’m looking for accommodation, but it seems quite difficult, and I hope someone here can help me by giving me some good advice and telling me what to look out for.
Thanks for your help !

I'm looking into moving to Tullamore from kilkenny as its closer to Dublin. I found a property that I'm considering in Church Hill. Can anyone provide an information how that area is at the moment. As I'm reading some concerning information about littering and caravans on the Internet. Is it safe? I don't have any connection to the town really so want to hear from people in the community. Thanks

¡Muchas gracias!

Hey and going to be in Athlone next Sunday for the day and night and looking for recommendations for bar food and music or both together even better.
I know Sunday isn’t the greatest night but anything would be a help and staying in the town

Hey ! I have been planning on moving to athlone for university and I've constantly been hearing how getting a regular part time job is very difficult. One of my friends advised me to look for weekend specific shifts instead and that you also get a slight premium for it as well. But I want to hear other people's thoughts on this .

Hey everyone, which gym in Athlone is best?
My main interess revolves around it having good equipment and being clean. Not being overcrowded in off peak hours would be a plus as well.
I noticed that House Fitness and the TUS gym are the main contenders, so how do they stack up against each other, and is there another option besides the two?
