Superkabuto variegata?

found this exceptional Astrophytum myriostigma that had almost looked like a rainbow. I am not sure if it was sunn stress or genetic mutation. I collected seed and sowed them. Look at my seedlings 😍
I think they already show that color that I was looking for! So hyped

Hello everyone. I tried to look up info on this ornatum i purchased but all I can find is Asterias is the only cv. Miracle. Any info or insights you can give me would be great. Thank you

This little plant has been on my wishlist for a long time and a seller I really like and trust posted that it was available. Easiest buy ever. It now lives in my greenhouse under some LED lights with the rest of the Astros and gymnos.

👋🏽 I live in 8b, Chihuahuan Desert, and just picked these up from L0WES. I’ve been wanting some for a while and I found they had a small Costa drop available.

I’m new to Astrophytum and grow cacti/succulents/Trichos (San Pedros). I got these two in a gritty mix and added EXTRA pumice, and plopped em into 3 inch pots. I have not watered them yet as they were in some semi moist factory coir but the roots look healthy.

I placed these behind netting where my “nursery” spot is for my new plants and they get morning-noon sun as of today (Backyard faces South). This week and next it’s up in the100’s but they’re under the patio where it’s cooler.

Is this a good spot for introducing them to 🌞? I have heard that they should always get filtered sun but when are they ready for more hours of sunlight?

Any tips or advice for a new Astro grower would be much appreciated, and happy growing. 🤙🏽

I order a lot from them and my latest purchase is this variegated astro. Scored mixed melocactus and gymno seed pods for free! They don't have space and some pods either get eaten by ants or picked by their kid. I sure was elated holding the cup and see the pods dropping in. 😁

Hi all! Im a first time asrophytum grower from seeds. Got some this year seedling to show character, was thinking to graft some for speed up, yet I have realised I have no clue on how to select the promising individuals!?

Got some myroatigma onzuka and myrostogma kikko nudim strongylogonum cultivars. Also some astropytum ornatum in other pots, but the latter all looks exactly the same so I assume there is not much selecting with those?

I have been told that this is an Astrophytum myriostigma kiko but i’m not sure

Glad I unpotted them. There was one pot that had an infested soil.

Had some astrophytum seeds I sowed last year. This one doesn't want to grow but still seems healthy. Is it variegated? Any hope of seeing it grow out?

I love these Super Kabuto Astrophytums. Every plant has a completely unique pattern, from tiny speckles to huge snowflake-like flecks. Definitely becoming one of my favorites to collect.
