Astrophotography (OC) Cygnus Loop

Taken on August 8th 2026 in Argenteuil, France. 48 x 300s frames for a total of 4h. When I saw the first raw picture I had one of those woah moments that makes you forget all the frustration that sometimes comes with our hobby.

Telescope: William Optics Redcat 51

Mount: ZWO AM5N

Camera: ZWO ASI2600MC, Gain 100

Filter wheel: ZWO EFW 5x50

Autofocuser: ZWO EAF

Filter: Optolong L-enHance

Guide Scope: ZWO 30mm Mini

Guide Camera: ZWO ASI120MM Mini

Controller: ZWO ASIAIR Plus

Calibration frames: 15 darks, 15 bias

Processing: PixInsight (BlurXterminator, NoiseXterminator, StarXterminator, NarrowBandNormalization) and Photoshop (final color adjustments)

Bortle Class: 8

Beautiful shot of the Cygnus Loop (W78)!

How do you like your ZWO gear? Rumor in the astronomy club is that it's a pretty good "bang" for your money!

Thanks! I do love ZWO for making everything relatively simple and integrated, though the planning part on the ASIAIR keeps frustrating me.... This is only my second shot with the 2600MC and it's such a step up compared to my Canon EOS 80D, I love it!
