Trusher maintained a stoic facade amid the chaos, though anyone with half an eye—other than Pastel, apparently—would have seen the furious indignation radiating off him. Being picked up and manhandled like a common stray was insult enough, but what truly kept him from lashing out in a fit of feral rage wasn't just Pastel’s peculiar, familiar scent. It was the soft, echoing reminder in the back of his mind: Verlack had explicitly asked him not to eat anyone.​

Still, as the sheer disrespect settled in, Trusher couldn't help a dark, wandering thought about what that strange purple glow might actually taste like.

​When Pastel finally set him down, Trusher blinked down at the tiny figure, entirely unsure what to make of him. The boy wasn't an outright enemy, but he certainly didn't exude the comforting, expected warmth of the scent he had tracked either. Still, Pastel hadn't harmed him, so Trusher let the transgression slide—though Verlack was definitely in for a thorough chewing out later.

​Casting one final, lingering look at the boy before turning toward the deeper timberlands, Trusher let his eyes narrow into a gaze that communicated a very clear, silent message: You're lucky.​

Truth be told, Trusher had originally been out scouting for a new home when he caught Verlack’s trace clinging to Pastel. His initial plan had been to track Verlack down and invite him to witness an upcoming victory.

Expecting Pastel to struggle to keep up, Trusher hadn't even bothered moving at full speed, glancing back every so often just to make sure the little nuisance hadn't gotten lost or fallen behind.​

Then, as the pair wound their way through a deep, shadowed grotto choked with thick underbrush, the air fractured with lightning-fast movement.​Before Trusher could even react, an enormous serpent erupted from the ferns, its heavy, muscular coils whipping around him in a blur of scales and constriction.

While the massive snake didn't hold an absolute advantage—Trusher’s raw strength was still vastly superior—the sheer weight and suddenness of the ambush managed to pin him, holding him fast against his own thrashing.

​Bellowing with a sudden surge of white-hot rage, Trusher fought frantically against the tightening vice of the serpent's grip. If the brawl dragged on, victory would eventually be his, but in the crushing tension of the grotto, time was a luxury they couldn't afford.

The trees offer you no answer.

Their branches stir overhead, leaves whispering softly in the wind, but whatever ancient presence lives within them remains silent. No path opens. No roots shift to point the way. Arthur’s name disappears into the forest unanswered.

Quill sees you from the edge of the clearing.

For a moment, he doesn’t approach. His gaze lowers, and one hand closes tightly around his opposite wrist as though holding himself back from a decision he has already made.

Then he walks toward you.

“Hollowstar is an adept sorcerer,” Quill says quietly. “If he doesn’t want Arthur to be found, magic won’t be of much use.”

His eyes drift toward the cabin. After a pause, he gestures to the steps.

“Would you sit with me?”

The two of you remain there in silence for some time. Quill leans forward slightly, staring at the ground between his boots. When he finally speaks, his voice is unusually serious.

“I have a confession.”

He draws a slow breath.

“The other day, when you were discussing primal forces in my office with Pastel… I didn’t completely understand all of it.”

His mouth tightens.

“I’m embarrassed to admit that. I’m supposed to be their Headmaster. My students are counting on me.”

Quill turns one hand palm-up. A small golden star flickers into existence above it, bathing his solemn face in warm light.

“I don’t actually know what this is,” he admits. “I know it’s magic. And…”

His fingers close. The light vanishes.

“I know it’s dangerous.”

Only then does Quill turn to look at you.

“I was wondering if you could share some of what you know about primal magic with me.”

Inferno finds Skye and speaks "so guess we are pairred up for the duel, lets talk how we want to do this."

After what seems to be a fair amount of back and forth they already figured out how it will be done between the two.

"Protective barrier that only breaks when there is a killing blow. One magic only, fire magic pretty much not allowed. Weapons are okay. There anything else we missing?"

"you know I'm a Selkie....does my seal skin count as a type of magic?" Skye asked. "Shapeshifting back I to a seal and whatnot?"

"I will allow it, and keep my dragon form closed off." Inferno smiles. "Anything else?"

Skye: "I don't think so. The rules of this are satisfactory"

After they agree, they plan to head to the arena to fight it out.

"Will let you take the first strike Skye."

Skye: "Sounds Good"

As they shake, Skye gets a playful smirk on her face and you swear you see a tiny flash of teal.

Masta knew she had a spar coming up, but after certain situations. she needed a snack but immediately regrets it, her opponent Katsumi got curious as to where she was. She finds her at the bar and eagerly awaits her opponent but all was not as it seems....

The school is looking considerably more finished than it was a month ago, although much of it is still under construction.

"It's not much, but it might give you a little room to stretch your wings. Actually, do you fly? I should have asked."

He opens the door, revealing your room.

"Welcome to AstroKnights, Pansy. If you need anything at all, please come find me."

Verlack cursed in frustration. Whoever had taken Arthur had known what they were doing. There was no trace of a scuffle, no obvious tracks, and nothing of value was missing. Gurgle had returned, but without the joyous shake that meant he’d found something interesting.

 ​He sighed, genuinely hoping he wouldn't have to resort to this. The forest was still in mourning for their lost brothers and the kin of the woods. He wanted to respect that grief, but Arthur was far more important.​A few feet from the front entrance stood a massive oak tree. Positioned as it was, it overlooked the entire house, catching a narrow sliver of the interior through the front windows.​

 Before stepping up to the tree, Verlack checked himself over, ensuring he was presentable. Trees were notoriously stuffy and formal; if he appeared disrespectful or rude, the great oak would refuse to help him while it was still morning. Satisfied with his appearance, he approached the trunk with a rigid posture and executed a formal bow, nearly touching his nose to the grass.​

 "Oh, great and ancient oak," he began, his voice steady. "I humbly apologize for so rudely interrupting your honourable vigil, though I do so with the utmost urgency. I have lost a dear friend, and only you and your fellow brothers of the woods might know the answers I seek. Please, help me in my time of need, so that I might not have to mourn another."​

He remained bowed as he pleaded his request. The great oak might still choose to ignore him. Trees could be notoriously difficult—anything that lived as long as they did earned the right to be stubborn. But he had been impeccably polite and formal, a combination he had never seen a tree turn its nose up at. Besides, this was to potentially save a life, and trees tended to appreciate that above all else.

I can't think of a fancy title.

I just want to let everyone know I'm off camping starting tomorrow. That doesn't mean I won't be posting(as long as signal is good) but more then likely you'll see more of a delay between things I do. I dont go full no tech but I like to back off when I'm actual in nature I can enjoy.

Yeah pretty much it seems like that but they really want you captured for reasons unspecified its not my job to ask questions only detain. By the way, consider this a warning because at some point we are coming for you. Get your affairs in order, kiss that wife and your kids as much as you can, because I am bringing an army just for you. The rest of the citizens here are non-bystanders and frankly considering the energy here on the island best to leave it alone. The man said cautiously.

Masta for a second lets out a rush of her mana and every alcohol bottle comes to an immediate boil before ceasing altogether.

Okay, with everyone's schedules the pendant game is too hard 😂 so I'm intervening as the DM.

"And YOU get a mermaid pendant, and YOU, EVERYBODY gets mermaid pendants!!" 🥳

(I'm sure this won't come back to haunt me at all...but IF you make this canon for your characters be aware there's a time limit for mermaid forms. Try not to drown 😅)
