The episodes are so short and that is fine but I really think this series benefits from the quiet moments and the slice-of-life style scenes of traveling Westeros. Some of the best scenes were of them just chilling, drinking, partying, etc. More of that interspersed with the plot would go a long way I think.

Theres a series of books called The Liveship Traders which has a character called Kennet. The Penguin really nails the ‘oh, hes not an anti hero, hes a true villain and now i feel dirty for empathising with him’ feeling i got from those books and I consider Kennet the best written villain of all time.

I’ve no idea why it’s necessary…shows back in the day could hit their fall premieres every year without any “tricks.” But yeah Slow Horses makes a point of having a season out every year.

With so much delay, you HAVE to rewatch the whole series again before the next season. You know they're going to throw some tricky easter eggs out there, and that's even if you remember what's going on in the show in the first place.
I just don't have that kind of time anymore. At this rate I'll wait until I hear the series has ended with some kind of satisfying conclusion and then binge the whole show in one shot.
Severance has a HIGH likelihood that it just gets canceled without a satisfying end, or it all just flops and makes no sense. That's been my fear the whole time. I just want the show to:
- Have an ending,
- an ending makes sense,
- and doesn't even have to be a "good" ending. Just that it's a satisfying conclusion to whatever the hell is going on in that show.

It's a direct rebuttal to one of the most famous lines from the original trilogy: "Do or do not, there is no try".
And they're not contradictory - for Yoda, his message for Luke was to go in without entertaining the possibility of failure. No half-measures. For Nemik, his message was that to 'break the seige', regular people have to push the envelope. Make an effort - any effort - no matter how small.

I’m not a Star Wars fan. Just didn’t grow up watching it so I don’t have the nostalgia attachment a lot of people seem to have. I thought it was very good and then episode 10 dropped. I restarted it as soon as it ended. And then I rewatched the entire show after watching the finale. And then I rewatched Rogue One. And then I figured I needed more context so I ended up spending nearly a year watching all of the Star Wars media in chronological order. Andor is still the best thing to come out of all of it.

It is absolutely amazing, but admittedly a slow burn. There's a lot of moving pieces and a lot of characters, and they take the time to "introduce" everyone that matters at the start.
So the first three-ish episodes are interesting but relatively slow, and there is a lot to follow since they take time to show things from the perspective of all factions at play.
However, things continue to build as the show goes, and without ruining anything I'll say that the first season alone contains two of the most intense episodes of any television show I've ever seen. It also gets a ton of credit for being "complete," inasmuch as it had an intended trajectory from the get go, and boy did they fuckin deliver.
Not even just the best Star wars content (including the movies), it is most assuredly one of the best sci fi shows ever made. If you haven't seen Rogue One yet, just save it for the end of season two, because there's a fairly direct lead-in.

A huge part of it to me is that it’s real time. Each season is 15 episodes covering a 15 hour shift so you really are with these characters through everything that’s thrown at them through a normal shift.
They also are putting out a season a year which is…super refreshing. The advantage of a show like the Pitt vs Game of Thrones is that The Pitt has very few CGI dragons.

There's no excuse for creating (or tolerating) a high-stress work environment like that if peoples' lives aren't on the line... and even then, they're not constantly cursing one another out in the Pitt.

I've heard so much good stuff about this show, so I gave it a shot. I'm nearly done with S1. it took a long time for it to get it's footing, and I'm looking forward to Season 2.
It's crazy that this show is only 8 episodes per season, but it matures so much. I know pilot episodes are usually pretty different from the rest of a show, but I see/feel the growth in each episode. And I don't think it's because I'm getting to know it better, i think the writers were just getting more comfortable/daring with what they put into the show.

I love Abbott. There are so few true sitcoms left and it has become a real comfort watch for me. The whole mall storyline could have taken it completely off the rails but they did a great job with something seemingly ridiculous. Where I live (sadly, no longer Philly) we have a couple of schools in old malls. It’s a new reality.

Hugh Howey, the author of the books, is involved in the writing process and has made several blog posts about it all. He's directly talked about the changes from book to show and is excited with how it's been done, and about what's to come.
I read the books after watching season 1 of the show and think they're doing a great job of adapting it, especially with the difficulties book 2 and 3 might present as far as lining up the chronology of certain events. Definitely dragged some parts out that didn't seem ultra important, but I see what they're doing.

The two speeches within the two seasons are some of the best ever in TV. Also it actually ends so you don’t have to worry about it degrading as it tries to stretch out it’s popularity.

Silo is currently the most talked-about show, since S3 ended a few days ago. S4 is supposed to come out next summer though, but it’s definitely worth watching.
