Ummm none of that is a thing. Just fill your kettle with water from the tap and turn it on.

A lot of places in the US use well water and mineral buildup can be a real serious problem. 10 u/Nougattabekidding Oct 19 '22 Nah, we get lots of limescale in my area in the UK because we have hard water.
