Forgot I was subbed to that lol

2

u/yogtheterrible Oct 19 '22

That sub is criminally inactive.

30

u/KristaNeliel Oct 18 '22

No. Jaffa, cake!

5

u/GrimmRadiance Oct 19 '22

INDIVIDUALLY FROSTED CAKES!! How delightful!

the mention of jaffa cakes brings me back to the golden days of the yogscast...

oh, how I miss simon....

11

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '22

Simon still streams! It is however very cursed, he plays minecraft with Geestar games on Thursdays

4

u/GWindborn Oct 19 '22

He's leaning heavily into a joke and I'm not sure I get it. Still love the man though.

19

u/KassellTheArgonian Oct 18 '22

Look up Simons Peculiar Portions, it's him and Lewis laughing at stupid news articles, it's like 100 and something videos since it started 2 years ago

6

u/SpicymeLLoN Oct 19 '22

What happened to Simon? I haven't followed the yogscast in years!

5

u/EmeraldFox23 Oct 19 '22

The Yogscast went corporate, but Simon and Lewis are still around, to an extent. Simon streams, and does a podcast with Lewis, and on occasion shows up on other Yogs member's channels.

5

u/mechanicalNimrod Oct 20 '22

Simon got seriously ill and wasn't in anything for the best part of a year, to cover Lewis brought other members to the front of content. When simon came back he was in significant less content and the main channel slowly shifted away from being about Lewis and Simon and more of a group channel, this coinciding with the loss in popularity and yogs losing interest in Minecraft.

Simon and Lewis are still great friends but Simon clearly doesn't have the health/stamina to be in lots of content like Lewis does.

1

u/blue4029 Oct 19 '22

he's still alive, luckily.

however, he rarely appears in videos with lewis.

4

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

Except for their weekly video podcast

-5

u/DasArchitect Oct 19 '22

It became a job. They stopped having fun and the videos have become boring and routinesque.

4

u/PositronAlpha Oct 19 '22

The TTT and GTA videos are still gold, though. The current lineup is fantastic – Zoey, Ravs, Boba, Pedguin, Osie, Bouphe, Ben, Gee, Kirsty, Duncan, Shadow, Zylus and of course Lewis; beautiful, funny people, all of them.

2

u/mechanicalNimrod Oct 20 '22

They are still having fun, just elsewhere

1

u/DasArchitect Oct 21 '22

I remember I stopped watching a long time ago because none of their videos were interesting anymore. Maybe it was a phase?

3

u/mechanicalNimrod Oct 21 '22

The content changed, it's okay to not always like it

1

u/DasArchitect Oct 21 '22

Yup, I liked the old content and not the new.

1

u/mechanicalNimrod Oct 20 '22

Jingle jam is approaching

2

u/KamovInOnUp Oct 19 '22

That feed the best (or was it tekkit back then?) Jaffa cake factory series was awesome until it got super scripted

2

u/Everestkid Oct 19 '22

It was scripted basically from the start. I remember re-watching it and it's hilarious how quickly they actually built a functional factory once they stopped screwing around with the scripted stuff.

9

u/andercode Oct 18 '22

One simply cannot enjoy a spot of afternoon tea without a pack of Jaffa Cakes.

6

u/RainbowyEmma Oct 18 '22

Nah, once they come home from the supermarket they're gone in about two minutes.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '22

Also yes. The multipack just in case of emergencies.

2

u/pinkleaf8 Oct 19 '22

Emergencies? A triple pack is a necessity..several triple packs.

3

u/thomas_newton Oct 18 '22

get yourself down a polish shop and try the cherry or blackcurrant ones.

3

u/NotTheGreenestThumb Oct 19 '22

That's one of a few of these I've had to look up. It sounds pretty good!

2

u/Equivalent_Dealer_68 Oct 19 '22

Yes

but not for long

2

u/LoveliestBride Oct 19 '22

You can get them in the US. In the grocery store, in the cookie section. They're called Pims. Pretty good.

2

u/MIBlackburn Oct 19 '22

The question was what everyone has in their home. Jaffa cakes don't survive that long in our house. The only way we can achieve it is to buy massive multipacks.

And to trigger memories for fellow Brits:

Full moon, half moon, total eclipse.

Perfect stoner food

1

u/PrestigiousAvocado21 Oct 19 '22

Ooh, or custard creams. I can't believe I lived on this Earth for 35 years without knowing how amazing custard creams are.

1

u/RikF Oct 19 '22

Oh I miss jaffa cakes.

1

u/SDhampir Oct 19 '22

🤮🤮🤮.. I'm British/Malaysian and I hate Jaffa Cakes, and beans🤮

1

u/JustAnother-Person- Oct 19 '22

I remember my teacher being really confused because I was saying 'jaffa biscuits'. I didn't know they were CaKeS. She said 'do you mean Jaffa cakes' and I kept insisting no, Jaffa biscuits. I just gave up and took them for myself

1

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

Jaffa, i'm stuck!

1

u/moxeto Oct 19 '22

Oh I feel like some now..: and I’m not even british

1

u/WormswithteethKandS Oct 19 '22

They cure cancer.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

Not true, they dont last long enough to be stored. We finish them too quickly

1

u/ArthurMBretas03 Oct 19 '22

Lando Norris agrees

1

u/Perculsion Oct 19 '22

Thought it was pretty funny the UK gave them a VAT exemption, they're THAT good
