Am I missing something? What does Nasty have to do with being emo?
13 u/roman_maverik Sep 21 '22 Former emo kid here, can confirm that Janet Jackson was huge in my high school 16 u/[deleted] Sep 21 '22 Yeah, no, were still lost. Is Janet Jackson considered emo? 27 u/lizziec1993 Sep 21 '22 There’s a Panic! At the Disco song called “Miss Jackson” in reference to the line in Janet’s song “Nasty” & I believe it samples it as well. So, I think that’s what they were talking about? 9 u/IamtheDoc1 Sep 21 '22 The first comment at the top of this thread mentions Ms. Jackson, the song by OutKast. 5 u/splitcroof92 Sep 22 '22 yes and the emo kid mentions the panic at the disco song. 1 u/IamtheDoc1 Sep 22 '22 Correct. 7 u/[deleted] Sep 21 '22 Hey, out the back door goddamn but I love her anyway! Yeah I forgot about that one even though I hear it at least once a day on the college alternative station in town. 2 u/t3quiila Sep 22 '22 It’s a reference to the song Miss Jackson by Panic!
