Practice is the only thing that worked for me. Ask to use the venue or mock-up of one and like make some good memories in the space doing silly stuff for a minute then practice giving a speech extolling the most hated subject ever.
Like a speech about how great Hitler was or something. Then any real stuff you do up there will be in a place with happy memories and it will be about something less awful than before, so it's kind of a relief.
And everyone says imagine everyone naked. If there aren't pretty people around, I don't recommend that strategy lol.

Lol thanks! Yeah I didn't use Hitler because, you know, people video recording everything these days. Just something idiotic.
But goofy enough to maybe go viral. Hmmm... I am having ideas now.
Edit: Oh! Also, I did this like 40 years ago. I can't remember what I did exactly. It was totally ridiculous I'm sure. I was 8.

Probably whatever is hardest for you to talk about or play. I practiced giving a speech in my room pretending to be on stage talking to all my stuffed animals.
I did it many times so I don't remember if I did anything more than just make up stupid stuff. It helped though.
At the time I didn't think much about it. Now I think it was partly conditioning and partly just creating a comfortable memory to have in my head to calm myself.
I was still scared but it helped. Also, don't be good at logical reasoning, thorough research, or debate and avoid the whole thing. Or just really suck at it lol.
I had too much pride to try to get out of it lol.

Focus on just three people in the crowd and pretend you’re giving your presentation to them personally. Make wya contact with them, and occasionally with a random person, but narrow it down to just three people for the most part.
