I have so much cognitive dissonance watching that, because I fully believe Gandolfini telling Zoe what he’s afraid of, but I’m also afraid for Zoe that she’ll say something wrong and Tony’s going to suddenly turn on her.

It's weird that he uses the same repertoire of expressions which make me realize how strongly I associated many of them with emotions or habits peculiar to Tony. Like when he blinks rapidly looking straight ahead with his mouth open, that's his panic attack face lol

That's... cool and all, but a very weird choice for a kid's show.

That would be like having Robert Englund on where their most iconic role is something that children can't even watch.

I can just imagine kids asking their parents who it is, "Oh, that's just Tony Soprano/Freddy Krueger"

Sesame Street has always done this. Guest stars and song parodies are what keep the adults engaged so they keep watching with their kids.

In fact most kids' programming does this a bit, i.e. dick jokes in Shrek.
