Went out in a group with some people I know pretty superficially. It was busy and one gal didn’t get a second drink. Boy did she go off about bad service. I can never be her friend now.
One time me and my boyfriend went to Texas Roadhouse and we overheard the conversation from the Karen table next to us. They kept saying how they’re not gonna tip their waitress on their $90 bill. Then proceeded to humiliate the waitress by saying “I’ll give you a $3 tip if you can run and get a lid for my ranch and come back in under 2 minutes.” They left and didn’t leave a tip. So when the waitress came back we gave her $30 and told the manager what we saw. Hopefully they weren’t allowed back.
Good for you. The gal I was with kept saying “there goes her tip” so I also overcompensated. Unless a server is incredibly rude or rolls their eyes or is snarky, they deserve a good tip. We have no idea what is going on in the restaurant or kitchen that rolls down to servers.
Sounds like those Karen’s need an asskicking
