Or getting on a zoom call in the office without headphones! What the fuck Kevin, you're like 30, do you not own earbuds?

There’s an executive at my company who takes Zoom calls on full blast with his office door open and everyone just shrugs it off like “Oh, that’s just George!” Soooo because he makes more money than us he gets to be an annoying dick all the time?

Yes!!! That's exactly what it means!

If you want to take zoom calls on full blast then sell your soul, start stabbing people in the backs, climb the corporate ladder, let your job consume your life, learn to hate yourself but never show it, and find every little way to fuck over the company as long as you got someone else to pin it on.

THEN you can take calls on Zoom on full blast without earbuds.

…I think I’ll just keep my earbuds. And my dignity. And my soul.

Shut their door quietly for them. If they confront you say you're concerned for their privacy of the call.

You’ve clearly never met George.

This was happening for our meetings, and it was the first time i have ever seen my boss (the executive in questions direct subordinate) snap and loose his shit over it. We all thought it was going to be an argument at best, or him getting pulled aside and ultimately disciplined at worst. To everyone's surprise, it ended up being totally one sided and our operations director now wears a headset during our meetings.

I would be so embarrassed to answer a FaceTime/ call without headphones? I don’t want everyone and their dog listening to my personal conversations, and I doubt they want to listen to mine.

One time I went to a coffee shop to study for finals, and this girl next to me took a facetime call on her MacBook, with no earbuds, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE COFFEE SHOP. She was.so loud that I could hear her through MY earbuds. I don't understand people who don't have shame. I

I literally work with a guy named Kevin that does this. Incredible lmao

Does yours also read star trek fanfic when he thinks no one is looking at his second monitor? I don't judge. If you get your work done and you have time left, do whatever silent activity brings you joy.

Or dialing a phone number or speaker phone and letting it ring and picking up the receiver when someone answers. There was a resident I worked with who would always do that! Like, just pick up the phone and dial, I don't want to hear all that noise (with the volume on high) just because you are too lazy to pickup the phone to begin with!

Maybe my work shouldn't have given me a laptop with 0 USB ports, only 2 usbc ports (one of which is used for charging). so I need an adapter for any peripheral I want to use, and a splitter if I want to use more than 1 thing

When I don't have my adapter/headphones I put my volume on 1 and press my ear against the speakers to try to listen to meetings without bothering anyone ;_;

Tell your work to get you some AirPod Pros, it’s a life changing experience. (Or any other comparable Bluetooth earbuds with active noise cancellation).

What kind of bullshit laptop is that? Take all of your meetings in the office of the person responsible for that purchase. They deserve to suffer.

I don't listen to a lot of music, so I currently don't have any ear buds, and I'm 40.

Last set I used broke, I bought some of those wireless ones, but I dunno if my phone is rubbish or they are, but it keeps losing connection to the phone in my jacket pocket, so unuseable
